Title: Prayer and Forgiveness (1 John 05:14-17)
Content 1, Prayer according to his will
What is the greatest gift God has given us The greatest gift God has given us is life through His Son.
The life of the Son Jesus is eternal.
Those who believe in the name of the Son have eternal life.
What is the evidence of the manifestation of those who have eternal life? Those who have the life of a son will pray.
Prayer is said to be the breath of the Spirit.
The dead have no breath.
Without airway, it is like not breathing.
Just as breathing is the privilege of those who have life, so prayer is the privilege of those who have the life of the Son.
Verse 14 says, “This is the confidence we have toward him, that if we ask him according to his will, he hears us.”
The boldness of those in whom Jesus, the Son of God, is in him is a prayer according to his will.
Also, God hears the prayers of those who have the life of the Son.
Verse 15 also says, “If we know that he hears what we ask for, we also know that we have what we ask of him.” Verse 15 is the interpretation of verse 14 and emphasis on repetition.
Look closely at verse 15.
"We know that he hears what we ask for whatever we ask." If we know that he hears, "we know that we have what we ask of him" is the assurance.
Dear brothers and sisters, if you believe that God hears your earnest prayers, do you really believe that God will answer your prayers?
2, Prayer of forgiveness for brothers If you believe in the answers to your prayers, you now have something to pray for.
Verse 16: “If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not lead to death, let him ask, and he will give him life for the transgressors that do not lead to death.”
What should those who have the life of God's Son Esu pray boldly? This is an intercessory prayer for our brothers.
Intercession is not a prayer for me.
Prayers for others besides me are intercessory prayers.
Instead, it means to pray.
The prayer that the Lord is praying for us without ceasing even now is the prayer of intercession.
Jesus is also interceding for you at this time.
At the right hand of God on the throne of heaven is praying for you.
Truly you are happy people.
Those who have the life of the Lord who prays that intercession must become people of intercession like the Lord.
You must be a person who prays like Jesus. You must be like Jesus.
Abraham, the man of the altar, is a man of intercessory prayer.
He was the one who prayed for Sodom and Gomorrah and for his nephew Lot.
Moses and Paul were also people who interceded, saying that even if they would take their lives for the sins of the people, the people should forgive them.
But in today's world of faith, that is not the case.
Everyone! Do you have a heart to forgive when you see a sinner? What do you do when you see a sinner? Today's Word tells us to pray.
Because I am also a person who deserves the same prayer.
Because, like everyone else, I am a sinner whom the Bible speaks of.
When I pray for others, other people and many others are praying for me to intercede to God.
Do not pretend to be righteous The Bible says, "There is none righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:11).
Think carefully about humans! Think deeply about the human beings who include me! What kind of person is it? Is it okay? Is it plausible?
What is a human being, the higher the name, the more...
The higher you are, the more hypocritical you will see.
Don't you feel the tolerance and forgiveness fade away Don't you taste the love fade away
While sharply pointing out the seat in front of others ... Tolerance ...
In Matthew 7:3-5, the Lord said, "Why do you see the speck in your brother's eye, but do not understand the log that is in your own eye? "You hypocrite, first remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly and remove the speck from your brother's eye."
What does today's Word say? If it is not a sin that leads to death, then pray for forgiveness.
Pray with a heart of sorrow as if I was a party to sin.
People in the world who do not have the life of the Son of God generally prefer to expose the faults of others. Some people get excited just by hearing rumors about things they haven't seen before.
Also, there are people who pretend to be concerned and make bigger rumors.
These are all external evidences that show that Jesus is not in them.
Those who have Jesus in them have no choice but to forgive because of the life of Jesus, that is, love, which is the essence of life.
One commentator commented on the article on the speck and beam in the brother's eye, "If the speck on the brother's coat is the sin of hatred, the sin of envy, the sin of robbery, the sin of exploitation, the sin of adultery, the sin of murder, The beam of the eye is a sin without love."
“Love covers a multitude of faults,” he said.
The love of Jesus has covered all our sins.
Isaiah 53:5-6 “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; His discipline gave us peace; His wounds we are healed. All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all."
Those who have Jesus in him must follow Jesus' ways to the end.
Those who have the life of Jesus must become intercessors.
must be a conciliator.
You must be the bearer of the cross.
Let's read verse 16 together...
He said that he would give something as an answer to the prayer he asked for. He said, "...you will give me life."
My dear brothers and sisters, we said that our intercession saves mortal life.
Let's all pray for others!
Thank you for asking me to pray.
Please give me the grace to pray.
Help me to pray for all.
