Title: Prayer and Problem Solving

James 5:13-18 Prayer and problem solving
I've been to a certain house before. However, due to some problem, everyone in the family lost their joy and lost their dreams and hopes for tomorrow. I rummaged through the Bible to give them dreams and hopes with the word of God. However, I was having a hard time thinking of the words, and suddenly the Lord said, "Pray!" I followed that voice and said, "Come on, let's pray together!" and started praying.
However, after praying for a while, the faces of the people gathered there began to change. Before they prayed, they were full of worries and resentment, and had no dreams or hopes, but as they prayed, life came to their faces. And peace and joy came to their hearts, and visions and hopes for the future began to arise.
And as I continued to pray, I saw that problems were solved and good things happened. I loved it so much that when I woke up, it was a dream. I realized this while dreaming. "Aha, prayer solves problems! Prayer gives hope and good things happen through prayer!" Hallelujah !
In Mark 9, this problem is recorded. A certain father had a son who was deaf and possessed by a demon. But the demon threw him into the fire and into the water to kill him. The father was so sorry that he asked Jesus' disciples to bring the child and cast out the demon, but the disciples were unable to do so. Then Jesus appeared and rebuked the demon, saying, "You dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of the child and do not enter it again." Then the demon immediately went out and the child returned to normal.
This incident changed the life of a child and the life of a family from misery to happiness. Despair turned into hope, and groaning turned into joy. After this, the disciples entered the house and asked Jesus quietly. "Lord, why were we not able to cast out the demon?" Then Jesus answered: “This kind cannot come out by anything other than prayer.” (Mark 9:29)
Ladies and gentlemen, there are quite a lot of things that demons bring to you in today's coming painful problems. The problem that demons bring cannot be solved no matter how much human knowledge and wisdom are used. But prayer will solve the problem. When you pray, good things happen. Prayer brings peace and joy. When we pray, thanks come out, we become happy, our family and our church become happy.
Everyone, I believe. Our church is a church where the sound of united prayer continues for up to 20 minutes instead of 2 minutes. Of course, if you pray for that long during the Sunday worship service, people will run away, and you cannot pray for that long due to time constraints, but during the all-night service or Wednesday worship service, prayers last for more than 20 minutes. Because of the saints who pray so hard, I believe that our church will continue to develop, revival, missions, and good things happen to each individual and family."
Ladies and gentlemen, prayer is a tool that moves the hand of Almighty God. God works through the person of prayer, pouring out the Holy Spirit on those who pray, guiding those who pray, and blessing those who pray. The church needs people who are well-educated, smart, and talented, but above all, it needs people who pray. And God's work begins through prayer and is accomplished through prayer. But without prayer, it seems to work, but later it gets worse, more twisted, and more crooked. The importance of prayer is timeless and cannot be overemphasized. The Bible also emphasizes the importance of prayer.
“Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) “The end of all things is near; therefore, be sober and sober and pray.” (1 Peter 4:7) “Be steadfast in prayer and watch with thanksgiving in prayer. ." (Colossians 4:2) "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray so that you may not fall into temptation." (Luke 22:46) "Keep awake in prayer always so that you may be able to escape all these things that are to come and stand before the Son of Man." (Luke 21:36) “Make supplications and prayers and intercessions for all” (1 Timothy 2:1) “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6) “My house is a house of prayer.” (Luke 19:46)
Ladies and gentlemen, the church is a house of prayer. We pray at home, at work, at school, everywhere, but especially when we come to church. And it is easy to pass the exam if you gossip or gossip with each other. Rather, when we meet with each other, we must unite and pray. And through that prayer, problems should be resolved, good things should happen, and you and I should be happy. It should be full of joy. Grace should abound.
Prayer is joy, blessing, and happiness for us. If you pray, you will find things that do not exist; if you pray, you will feel better even if you feel bad; if you pray, you will become strong even if you are weak. But when prayer falls, we become sad, depressed, frustrated, weak, and unhappy. Without prayer, we cannot live happily here in Calgary, nor can we build the kingdom of heaven. Living life without prayer is not living as a human being in a way.
Do you want to live proudly like God's children? Pray. Are you sick? Pray. Do you have problems and worries? Pray. Today's Bible says: "Is any of you afflicted? Let him pray. Is there anyone among you who is sick? He shall call upon the elders of the church, and let them pray for them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. Elijah was a man of like nature, but he earnestly prayed that it would not rain. He prayed, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months; and he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain and the earth bore fruit” (James 5:13-14, 17-18).
Gentlemen, we believe the words of this Bible. We also believe that if we pray, problems will be solved, diseases will be healed, God's work will happen, and good things will happen. But, do you know anyone who thinks this way? "I don't have any problems right now, everything is going well and I'm comfortable, no need to pray. Hallelujah!"
Guys, don't be fooled by yourself. Peace obtained without prayer is not true peace. Blessings enjoyed without prayer are unsettling blessings. To say you are filled with the Holy Spirit without praying is saying you do not know the truth. If you don't pray, someday problems will arise. However, if you pray, you will overcome problems and live. Ladies and gentlemen, we must pray in advance. We do not want our children and families to become sick, poverty and curses, and other problems to arise in this foreign land because we are lazy in prayer, and we do not want the devil to trouble our homes and churches.
In Exodus 17, we see this event. A war broke out between an enemy called Amalek and the Israelites. However, when Moses raised his hands to pray, Israel prevailed, and when Moses lowered his hands and stopped praying, a strange scene unfolded and Amalek prevailed. Then Aaron and Hur, who were watching the scene from the side, realized. "Aha, if you lose your prayers, you lose the war!"
Realizing this, they supported Moses' praying hands on both sides of Moses. Then Moses could continue to pray, and through that prayer, Israel was able to completely defeat the Amalekites. Gentlemen, we need to raise our hands in prayer to each other. Prayer should be encouraged. When the devil in question attacks, we must unite and pray together. We must cling to prayer, saying, "Let's pray together." So, the problem between you and me will be resolved, and we must live happily in this foreign land.
Ladies and gentlemen, this foreign land is in need of prayer more than Korea. If you think that Canada is good to live here, or if you neglect to pray, you may feel comfortable right now, but you will regret it greatly after a while. If a Christian does not pray, no matter how good a country may be, the future cannot be guaranteed by God.
However, even on a barren land, where there is abundant prayer, God's blessings will arise. Therefore, let us pray more diligently. Sometimes, even if prayer is very difficult, 'If I stop praying, I will perish!' Let's cling to prayer even more with the thought of despair. So, the problems of you and me will be solved, and let's enjoy the blessings of God. And I pray that the kingdom of heaven will be nurtured beautifully in this foreign land through me and all of you who pray so hard.
