Title: Prayer Guided by the Holy Spirit
Contents
Prayer makes the impossible possible. Prayer engages us in the supernatural work of God. Prayer is a conversation of love with God. Prayer is to broaden our limitations. Because the supernatural power of God comes to us through prayer. However, a soul who does not pray does not fulfill its full potential and ends their life. A family that prays becomes one in the Lord and the Lord establishes it. Prayer is the key that unlocks the storehouse of God's grace and blessings. When our prayers stop, the gates of heaven close. Prayer is the process of creating a channel for God's grace and blessing to come. Prayer leads from spiritual thirst to spiritual exhaustion. Prayer is an expression of faith that prepares and saves for the future. Prayer changes the person who prays first, and eventually changes the surroundings and neighbors. Prayer turns ordinary people into outstanding people. Therefore, God has this formula. It is the formula that He must prepare us through prayer before bringing a great history. The secret to powerful prayer is to pray in the Holy Spirit.
I. So what does it mean to pray in the Holy Spirit?
It means that the Holy Spirit, who indwells us and accompanies us, who is our counselor, guide, and comforter, inspires us to desire to pray, and to help us pray so that we can pray as God desires. It means history. Ultimately, it means that He helps us to receive answers to our prayers by helping them conform to the will of God.
II. What does prayer in the Holy Spirit look like?
1. There is earnestness in the form of prayer offered in the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit helps us to pray earnestly with all our body and all our heart. (Acts 12: 5) O Lord! I want the spirit of prayer to come on the members of the Big Light Church. Fill us with the spirit of prayer! Do you know what we need right now? It is praying in the Holy Spirit with the power of the Holy Spirit, and praying earnestly for God's intervention and work to be revealed with the utmost risk of life.
2. Prayer in the Holy Spirit is praying wisely according to God's will.
(Romans 8:27) The Holy Spirit leads us to prayer that is in line with God's will so that our prayers can be answered.
is. (1 John 5:14)
3. Prayer in the Holy Spirit is prayer with the assurance of answers to prayer. (Mark 11:24) When we pray, God the Holy Spirit works so that we can be offered in faith according to God's will. Through this work of the Holy Spirit, we can have the confidence that God is answering us in our prayers.
4. Prayer in the Holy Spirit is praying with patience until we receive an answer.
Jesus explains the parable of the poor woman and the wicked judge in Luke 18 that we should always pray and not lose heart. God responds in God's time and in God's way. Prayers that follow the will of the Lord will eventually be answered. Amen! Pray a little more and wait a little longer. The wish of the heart given to the believer will eventually come true. (Phil 2:13)
III. So how can we pray in the Holy Spirit?
1. We can pray in the Holy Spirit when we give ourselves and our will completely to God. Acts 5:32 says, “God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey him.” God wants our hearts, our wills, and even our emotions to submit to Him. Our thoughts, wills, and stubbornness are blocking the work of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, in order to pray in the Holy Spirit, we must be completely obedient to God in all areas of our lives.
2. We must completely depend on the Holy Spirit and confess our weakness.
In our lives, we must have total trust in the Holy Spirit. Among them, the time when we need to trust the Holy Spirit the most is when we pray. We must trust in the Holy Spirit, realizing that the work and service for our Lord cannot be done in our own strength or power, but only through the Holy Spirit. (Zechariah 4:6) But above all else, the time when we need the help of the Holy Spirit the most and when we need to rely on the Holy Spirit the most is when we pray. (Romans 8:26) We see the Apostle Paul confessing that “we know not how to pray.” We don't know Bill Barr. Everyone! When we pray, we must realize that we do not know what we are praying for, and we must pray with full dependence on the Holy Spirit.
3. We can pray in the Holy Spirit only when we are filled with the Holy Spirit.
The phrase “to be filled with the Holy Spirit” in Ephesians 5:18 has a grammatical meaning to continually be filled with the Holy Spirit. The filling of the Holy Spirit and prayer are interconnected. If we continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit, we are guided not only in our daily life but also in our prayer life. The more you fill yourself with the Holy Spirit, the more the prayer topic comes to mind. Before the filling of the Holy Spirit, the disciples did not pray. So I took the exam. However, the work of the filling of the Holy Spirit in Mark's Darakbang made them people of prayer, healing and miracles through prayer.
4. To pray in the Holy Spirit, you must eat the Word every day.
The Word of God is the instrument of the Holy Spirit's work. The Holy Spirit works in the Word. Therefore, the Holy Spirit and the Word work together. Comparing Ephesians 5:18-19 with Colossians 3:16, we see here that the work of being filled with the Word and the work of being filled with the Holy Spirit are the same. Therefore, as we read and meditate on God's Word every day and obey it, the Holy Spirit will work on us in the Word. In order to offer powerful prayer, prayer that can move God's heart, and prayer that is answered, we need to realize what we are asking from God in the Holy Spirit and discern through the Holy Spirit whether the prayer we are praying now is God's will. do. If you are convinced that it is God's will, you must continue to pray without becoming discouraged until you receive an answer. This is prayer in the Holy Spirit. “Open your mouth wide. I will fill it.” Open your mouth wide in the Holy Spirit. It is our greatest blessing and privilege to make prayer the number one priority in our lives.
