1. Lamentation over suffering (1,2)
David's Pain
The phrase "How long are you here?" is used four times.
That is why David's suffering is so severe. Unbearable pain overcame David

will you forget me forever? - The thought that God has forgotten him.
How long will you hide your face from me? - Forsaken by God
How long will you let your heart be troubled? - There is no end to sorrow in the heart

2. Ask for salvation (3, 4)
