Contents

Subject : Prayer Life

Verse: 1 John 5:14-15

2. The answer and power of prayer

1) God responds when a believer who prays first seeks the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). He does not act according to human preferences. Because God is holy, He is loving, and He has a wise purpose, He does not listen to the prayers of those who ask Him.

2) Specific factors in which prayers are not answered

(1) To harbor iniquity in your heart - Psalm 66:18

(2) Do not listen to God's law - Proverbs 28:9

(3) A heart that departs from God - Isaiah 59:2

(4) Going on a twisted path - Jeremiah 14:10-12

(5) Pray to be seen by people - Matthew 6:5-6

(6) Praying without faith - Hebrews 11:6

(7) Doubt and double-minded - James 1:6

(8) Asking wrongly to spend on lust - James 4:3

3) Conditions for answered prayers

(1) When we put aside vile remarks and accusing others and pour out our Christian hearts into the hungry and distressed - Isaiah 58:9-10(2) When we believe that whatever we pray and ask for is received - Mark 11:22 -24(3) When we forgive others - Mark 11:25-26

(4) When we ask in the name of Christ - John 14:13-14

(5) When the believer abides in the Lord and his word abides in the believer - John 15:17 (6) When he prays with the Holy Spirit - Ephesians 6:18

(7) When we keep the commands of the Lord - 1 John 3:22

(8) When we seek according to the will of the Lord - 1 John 5:14-15

4) However, a believer should not forcefully ask God for an answer even if he prayed according to the conditions for receiving an answer.

(1) Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane with all conditions fulfilled, but he said, “Not my will, but your will” (Matthew 26:39).

(2) The Apostle Paul offered a perfect prayer that was clearly answered, but God did not remove him.

(3) God, who is the ultimate mediator, does not unconditionally grant the wishes of believers, but only teaches them what is the right thing to do. Therefore, the believer asks, "What does God want in this situation?" or "What is the best way to glorify God?" and have to ask

5) A proper prayer life has a profound influence on spiritual growth and sanctification that gradually draws Christians closer to God. Especially freedom from fear (Psalm 118:5-6), the strengthening of the soul (Psalm 138:3), the reward (Matthew 6:5), a good gift (Luke 11:13), a abundance of joy (John 16:23). -24) and peace (Mon 1:6-7).

6) Perfect prayer is the united prayer of the believer with sincere and sincere prayer and the help of the Holy Spirit, coming up before God and leading Christians to complete sanctification.
