Title: Prayer of Penance / Psalm 6:1-10

A sensitive response to sin is essential in the life of faith. If we look at the words of Psalm 6, God is sending His wrath on David. In the midst of God's wrath and wrath, we can see that David had a great sense of guilt. Sin is something that goes against God's will or goes unnoticed. There is a sin in not obeying God's laws that must be obeyed. When we commit these sins, we offer a prayer of repentance.

1. There is hope in the prayer of penance

David admits to himself that he is guilty and suffers by telling Jehovah not to reprove him in anger and not to discipline him in wrath. She says that she couldn't sleep, crying enough to bring her to bed at the thought of being abandoned. In the midst of this, David is crying out how long he must wait, and he is pleading with a heavy burden and guilt. This means that there is hope in him, who is struggling with pain with his darkened eyes on his bed with tears on his bed. He came to know that it was God's bondage that he was suffering. That is why we are asking how long can we wait with hope.

2. There is salvation in the prayer of penance

In the psalm, the poet (David) sings the Lord five times. Ordinary people call on God when they win. But from these verses we can see that we should call on God even when we suffer. The only way to find light and find a way is to find the Lord in the dark. David's prayer shows that our hope is in the Lord, and it is God who will save us. Here, David is not asking for salvation through his own righteousness, but God's mercy and love. The poet knows that he is a pitiful and pitiful creature, and he is grievingly confessing that he has no choice but to be saved by God's mercy.

3. There is grace in the prayer of penance

If you look at the psalm of Psalm 6, you are in despair and in darkness, but you are not completely despairing. Total despair is to fall asleep, to give up, which shows that there is still a possibility, because here we are saying that we are sleeping. God answers the poet's prayer as soon as it is finished. It is the sleep of peace. Even while I sleep without doing anything, God, who loves me, is gracious to me. So, the poet is looking for God with trust in God.

I will conclude

Suffering leads us to prayer school, where we learn to pray. Even those who have lost their prayers will kneel before God and earnestly seek Him. And we were saved by the love of the Lord. By making us respond greatly to our guilt, we turn it into medicine, and on the contrary, return to God and welcome us with love. Finally, confession of sin is a declaration of war against sin. It promotes the war against sin. I hope that all of you will pray like David and become God's children who will receive salvation.
