Prayer saves (Genesis 20:17-18)
When the moment of death comes, you will find that there is nothing you can do about it.
What to do when neither parents nor siblings can help?
Abraham could not find a place to live, so he wandered around like a sojourner and settled in Gerar.
Abimelech king of Gerar killed him and took his wife Sarah, so he deceived his wife as his sister.
The king took Sarah to the palace.
God said in a dream that he was about to kill Abimelech, and that Abraham brought him as his sister.
God said that if you don't send Sarah back, you and your family will be killed.
Abraham also deceived his wife as his sister to avoid the moment of death, and nearly put others to death as well.
But God healed the king's wife and maidservants through Abraham's prayer and opened the door to the womb.
As promised to Abraham, he gave Isaac a son through Sarah.
God works by himself.
Abraham deceived his wife as a sister because of lack of faith, but God gave Abimelech grace to prevent him from taking Sarah.
Even though our faith is lacking, it is only the grace of God that we have been through. God is always gracious to His children.
God works through those who pray.
When Abraham prayed, God healed the women of Abimelech's household and opened the door to his womb.
1 Samuel 2:6-7, “The Lord kills and makes alive; he brings down into the grave, and he raises up.
The LORD makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and exalts.”
All the people who accomplished God's work were people who prayed.
People of faith realize that prayer is the way God works and the channel through which God works, and they always watch and pray.
The reason Moses won the war with Amalek was because he raised his hands and prayed for the sun to go down.
King David's wealth and honor come from the Lord.
He always prayed, believing that all authority and power and enlargement and strengthening were in the hands of the Lord.
When King Hezekiah fell ill and died, he did not despair and prayed with his face facing the wall and weeping.
God extended his life for another 15 years.
Do you think prayer is useless?
Weep like Hezekiah and pray with all your heart! Pray that your sweat will be like Jesus' drops of blood!
Cry out and pray in faith with all your heart! Are you disappointed that it is hard
Are you resenting and complaining about someone?
If I pray with all my heart to God the Father, who is my help, the closed door will be opened.
Are children and families a problem?
If you set a period and time with compassion for their souls and pray, work will happen.
Are you worried about the future of Korea?
We just need to wake up and pray. If the church watches and prays for the region and country, it can change.
God is still saving the world and transforming this age into the kingdom of God.
God is still working through people of prayer.
