Title: Prayer with Spirit (Luke 18:1-8)
Content Prayer is breathing in the spiritual sense. That's why Paul said, "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and Dr. Tori of the United States said, 'The Lord prayed even at the end of his life. His last words of death were prayer, and his whole life was a life of prayer.' He says that the life of the Lord was a life of prayer. Answered prayers are spiritual prayers. a spiritual prayer
1. A prayer that never fails
The prayers of the saints who shed the blood of martyrdom at the Roman amphitheater were prayers of fervent spiritual power, and they did not lose heart even in the midst of extreme tribulation.
In October 1735, Brother Wesley, on his way to Georgia, America, on a missionary trip to Georgia, encountered a severe storm and nearly sank.
However, when he saw the 26 Moravians who were on the ship praying and singing without despair in the storm of fear, he was deeply impressed. He prayed in fellowship with them and became powerful and great preachers, saving the extremely corrupt British society. Disappointment in any case is the cause of a disastrous defeat. Those who believe in and pray for the living God will not be discouraged like the widow in the text.
2. It is a persevering prayer.
The widow in the parable of the text pleaded with persistence. In fact, we should have a heart for the gospel and the church. Then comes earnest and persistent prayer. David said in Psalm 37:7, “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently.” Spiritual prayer is persevering prayer. A prayer that perseveres until it is answered is definitely a spiritual prayer to experience the power of the Lord, and it is a beautiful prayer addressed to the Lord. Dr. Tory said, 'Prayer is the key to unlocking the treasure house full of God's power'.
3. It is a prayer of assurance.
The widow's attitude toward the unjust judge was an attitude of conviction. The prayers of the saints to God are spiritual prayers that cannot but be answered, and they are prayers of faith (Matthew 7:7-8, James 5:15-16 James 1).
6, Mark 11:24, John 15:7).
The spiritual energy that triumphs over all things is the power of God that is obtained through prayer itself. A deadly formalist faith is clearly a faith without prayer.
Those who pray do not get discouraged under any circumstances and only see the solution through prayer. Let's be convinced that spiritual prayer is prayer with perseverance and conviction without being discouraged.
