6:1 And Darius appointed an hundred and twenty princes to rule the whole country, as he wished.
6:2 And there were three princes over them, Daniel was one of them, so that the high officials might report their duties to the prime minister, so that the king might not suffer.
6:3 Daniel was quick in spirit, and he was superior to princes and princes, so the king set him up to rule over the land.
6:4 Then the chiefs and dignitaries sought to find a cause for accusing Daniel against the affairs of the state, but found no ground, no fault, because he was faithful, and there was nothing wrong with it
6:5 And they said, "This Daniel cannot accuse him unless he finds a basis in the law of his God."
6:6 Then the governors and dignitaries gathered together and went to the king and said to him, “King Darius, live forever.
6:7 All the prime ministers and governors and governors and judges and rulers of the kingdom consult, and ask the king to make a law and to enact a ban. If you ask me, I will throw you into the lions' den.
6:8 Therefore, O king, I beg you, make a ban, and put your seal on the decree, so that it may not be changed again, according to the unchanging ordinances of the Medes and Persians.
6:9 Then King Darius put the king's seal on the decree and issued a ban.
6:10 And when Daniel knew that the decree had been stamped with the king's seal, he went back to his house, went up to the upper room, opened the window toward Jerusalem, and, as he had done before, knelt three times a day on his knees and prayed and gave thanks to his God.
