Title: Preach with the Holy Spirit
Contents
As a result of the martyrdom of Stephen Deacon, the church in Jerusalem is scattered due to great persecution. Except for the apostles, all the saints were scattered to escape persecution. A young man named Saul is destroying the church. They go into each house of the saints, drag men and women, and throw them into prison. Nevertheless, the saints preach the gospel wherever they go. Among the scattered crowd, a deacon named Philip went to Samaria to preach the gospel. The ghosts attached to many people scream and leave. The paralytic and the crippled were healed. There is great joy in Samaria. Why do these things happen? Because the Holy Spirit is with you. Deacon Philip is a man filled with the Holy Spirit.
In today's text, there is a scene where Philip evangelizes an Ethiopian eunuch. How do you evangelize? Do it the way the Holy Spirit tells you.
1. Hear the voice of the Holy Spirit
1) Acts 8:26 The angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Get up and go south, and go from Jerusalem to the road that goes down to Gaza." The road was a wilderness.
2) Acts 8:29 The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Come near in this chariot.”
3) Acts 8:39 The two of them went up out of the water, and the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away, and the eunuch went on his way often (with joy), and he did not see him again.
Philip is the one who hears the voice of the Holy Spirit. We preach according to the voice of the Holy Spirit. He didn't do anything. I just followed what the Holy Spirit told me to do. Nevertheless, the amazing fruits of evangelism are opened.
Evangelism will bear fruit if you follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We must always listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
2. I went under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and what happened?
The eunuch of Gandage, the queen of Ethiopia, was on her way back to her home country after worshiping in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost.
I was reading the words of the prophet Isaiah while riding in a chariot. I did not understand what Philip was talking about. He was an eunuch with great authority in charge of the treasury, but he believed in God.
He was a man who kept the festivals by looking for a long way. The eunuch is an eunuch. A genital-impaired eunuch was forbidden by law to enter the temple.
(Deuteronomy 23:1) No one whose shoes are broken or who has had their shoes cut off will not enter the assembly of the LORD.
Nevertheless, to keep the feast, he came to worship at the temple in Jerusalem through the wilderness, from Ethiopia, through Egypt. Although he was disabled and could not enter the temple, he loved God and came to worship by loving God.
He wanted to know the words of Acts 8:32-33 and asked Philip a question. I wondered if the person I was talking about was referring to Isaiah himself or someone else. But they say they don't know because there is no one to teach them.
3. Philip preaching the gospel
In response to this question, Philip testifies that it is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, not Isaiah. They accept Jesus, who gives the testimony of Philip, and are baptized. Philip is led by the Holy Spirit, and the eunuch returns to his home country spontaneously (joy). Philip arrives at Caesarea, preaching the gospel, passing through Asodo and other cities.
4. Apply
In preaching the gospel, we must hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and preach the gospel. After the Holy Spirit came on the Day of Pentecost, believers must be led by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:1-14 Those who are led by the Holy Spirit
Galatians 5:16 The guidance of the Holy Spirit
Acts 1:8 You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be witnesses in all Judea, Jerusalem, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth to testify of the gospel. The most important thing is to receive the power of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, when we preach the gospel to foreign workers, foreign students, North Korean defectors (refugees), and multicultural families, they return to their home countries and become missionaries to spread the gospel. When North Korea is reunified, those who owe the Gospel will enter North Korea and preach the Gospel. When foreign workers return to their home countries after hearing the gospel, they will be preaching the gospel in their country.
The gospel spreads like a plague like a plague, like leaven, to any part of the world.
The Gospel is delivered to North Africa through the Ethiopian eunuch. He must have preached the gospel to many people and people under his authority and power. His evangelism would have saved Ethiopia. They are Cyrenians and they are black.
Christianity came to Korea about 100 years ago and we are saved today. When a grain of wheat falls and rots, it bears many fruits.
Evangelism We believe that if we listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit to evangelize, great fruits will come. We must be led by the Holy Spirit in all things and live by hearing His voice. Today, Philip only obeyed the commands of the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, the fruits of evangelism are bearing fruit. Although we need our own zeal, let us be led by the Holy Spirit and evangelize with the fruit of the Holy Spirit. (*)
