(2012.01.15. Week) (Mon 1:4~7)
When it comes to the harvest time to end the year's farming - the rice that used to be in the wide fields is harvested as a thresher called a combine passes by.
At that time, well-ripened rice goes into the rice sacks - the chaff without grains is blown away by the wind and thrown away anywhere on the paddy field.
Next, after the chaff is picked, the remaining grain is taken to the slaughterhouse - where it is graded.
1st place is expensive. 2nd place is slightly less expensive. Irregular items are paid less.
Of course, the chaff is thrown away - only the grain goes to the market - but it feels good to get a good grade among the grains.
All people living in this world like a rice paddy seem the same - but those without faith are thrown away on the Day of Judgment like chaff and go to hell.
It is certain that the beloved saints worshiping here today are wheat, not chaff, because they are already believers in God.
Since it has become wheat instead of chaff, I pray that you and I will believe that you have already received the blessing of entering the barn of heaven.
But among the grains, there are irregular products, there are second-class products, and there are first-class products.
Any farmer who farms wants to produce a lot of first-class products.
We are life farmers who take care of ourselves.
Of course, not being chaff is something to be thankful for - but if possible, treat yourself like first-class wheat - I pray that you will grow into first-class believers and precious believers.
The Apostle Paul praises a believer named Philemon as a believer with the first grain of faith and a precious believer.
Seeing how Philemon's faith was so praised as a precious believer, I pray that he will become a precious believer - like Philemon - by imitating him.
1. A church member with good faith is a precious believer.
After all, believers must be recognized for their faith. - Even if you do everything well, if your faith is not good, you will not be called a precious believer.
The reason Philemon was praised as a precious believer was because he had good faith.
(1:5)-“I hear that you have your love and faith in the Lord Jesus and all the saints”- Philemon was commended and worthy of recognition for his faith in Jesus that is why he is a precious believer.
Our Kyungil Church members already believe in Jesus - I hope you will believe more. I hope you believe more.
*Jesus is the Lord who saved us from our sins - *Jesus is the guide who will take us to heaven.
*Jesus is our protector. *Jesus is the mediator who guarantees us before God. - I pray that you will become precious believers by believing in this precious Jesus with all your heart and with all your might.
2. A church member with a good relationship with the church is a valuable believer.
From the time God first created man, he said that man cannot live alone. It is not good for people to be alone, so he made Adam and Eve live together so that they could help each other and live.
Therefore, people should cooperate well and live a life of helping each other well.
In particular, the church is a community of believers who believe in God - Therefore, if you are a believer, you should have a good relationship with the members of the church.
1) I hope that you will become a church member with a lot of love.
(1:5)-“I hear that you have love and faith toward the Lord Jesus and all the saints”- It is very natural to love Jesus. But it cannot end with loving Jesus alone.
“Love for the saints” is important.
We, Kyungil Church members, love all members as their own family, brothers and sisters.
2) Be a good church member.
(1:6)-"By this the fellowship of your faith works for the knowledge of the good that is in us and to Christ"
Love is something that can be given unilaterally. However, dating is not a one-sided love - a two-way relationship where you love each other is called fellowship. So fellowship is a relationship that is one step deeper than love.
Not only to love, but also to be able to be loved for good fellowship.
“How many people in our church do I love? How interested am I in my church? Please think about it.
First of all, I pray that you will reach out to love and become loved by all the saints.
3) Be a member of the church who makes others feel comfortable.
School violence is becoming a social problem these days. - Do not do anything that makes other students uncomfortable.
Wherever I am - if I make others uncomfortable - I need to fix it right away.
I have to make the people around me comfortable because of me.
(1:7)-“Brother, the hearts of the saints are at peace because of you...”
*If other people can be comfortable because of me... *If other people can be happy because of me...
That person is a precious person.
Because of you, our church wants all members of our church to be overflowing with peace of mind.
*Hand with the person next to you -<I love you> <Let's get along> <I will make you comfortable>
3. A member of the church who raises the status of the church is a valuable believer.
When a Korean player achieves good results, that player promotes the national prestige of the country.
Last month, Korea's icebreaker, the Araon, rescued a Russian fishing boat that crashed into an iceberg and nearly ran aground and announced the status of our country to the world.
Our church members should be known as our church and the God we believe in - our church and God's ambassadors.
(1:6)-"By this the fellowship of your faith works for the knowledge of the good that is in us and to Christ"
I pray that the name of the church will be widely known through the members of our church and that you will become beautiful ambassadors who will lead many people to believe in Jesus and come to our church.
*If you save yourself with faith, *make the members comfortable with good fellowship, *set a good example to raise the status of the church and please God - you are a good believer like a treasure.
To add one more thing - it is also necessary to please the heart of the pastor who wants the members to become valuable members.
(1:7)-“…I have received much joy and comfort from your love”
When Philemon had good faith, had good relations with the church members, showed a good image of the church, and became a believer like a treasure - the Apostle Paul, who raised such a church member, could not help but be happy.
*Children who please their parents are precious children.
* A disciple who pleases the Master is a precious disciple.
* A believer who pleases God is a truly precious believer.
*Are we chaff today? I am not trying to distinguish whether it is a grain? - It's already a grain. - Is it an outlier? Is it second-class? Let's think about whether it's a luxury item.
*Will you go to hell? I'm not trying to distinguish between going to heaven? - I've already become a believer who will go to heaven. - Are you a believer who will only go to heaven? Are you a precious believer? I mean, let's think about it.
