Title: Precious birthright/Genesis 25:19-34
Content Title: Precious birthright
Text: Genesis 25:19-34
Key Verse: (Genesis 25:33) Jacob said, "Swear to me today. Esau has sworn and sold his birthright to Jacob."
All who are in Christ are endowed with the same privilege as the birthright to become children of God. However, there are beings who covet and take away this precious privilege. That is Satan's world. Satan uses every means to turn this into a bowl of red bean soup today. Defending the birthright includes these difficulties. And the birthright must have the following elements:
1. Innocent.
No matter how evil their ancestors may be, a child born into the world begins with a clean appearance that is not stained by dirty habits. The children of God who have lived by looking only at Jesus Christ learn only innocence and innocence. But Satan tries to entice us, defile us and satisfy us. He makes the birthright useless and recommends a derailment with a sweet temptation in order to move away from that class.
2. Love.
There is no tribe in this world that does not love children. Babies are also loved in the cradle. However, Satan must isolate us from all the love on this earth to release our character, and people become more and more hardened, abandoning their mothers, sisters, wives, and children, and fall into drunken drinking and the kiss of the wicked. Since the forces trying to erase the image of Christ, the crystal of love, are always around us, we must be vigilant and yearn for the Lord's word.
3. Redemption of Jesus Christ.
Everyone is born into a redeemed world. The grace of Jesus' atonement, the blood flowing on Calvary, and the blotting of Adam's sin and its influence are all ours. As the whole world was affected by Adam's sin, so we are all included in God's love in Jesus. But Satan again tempts men to forsake these benefits and blinds unbelievers so that they cannot see “the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world.”
4. The grace of the Holy Spirit.
Anyone can develop a strong and beautiful character by obeying the grace of the Holy Spirit. The sunlight pouring through the window awakens each of our souls. Isn't it common to sell them in a bowl of red bean soup? We constantly go the other way. May God always help us choose God's way, the spiritual way, the eternal way.
