Title: Precious Blood / Exodus 12:1-14
Content God wants to give grace and blessings to people and He wants to love them. However, there is a wall of sin between God and man, so God cannot come to us, and we cannot come before God. So, God gave us the tabernacle (the church) through Moses.
At that time, there were two rooms in the tabernacle, the Holy and the Most Holy, and the Most Holy, covered with a veil, was a place where only the high priest could bring the blood of the sacrifice once a year on the Day of Atonement to offer a sacrifice for the sins of all the people (Leviticus 16). chapter). But in the Most Holy, there is the ark of God, and there is a cover made of thin gold over it. Above the ark is called 'the mercy seat', and this mercy seat is the place where sins are paid.
If you open the veil of the Holy of Holies without the blood of atonement and enter it, it is a place where you pay the price for your sins, so all sinners have no choice but to die. This is because “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). So Aaron's two sons just went in and died (Leviticus 10). So God said to Moses, "I will come in the clouds of the mercy seat, and you must not let anyone go in and out." If you enter without atonement, you will die.
The blood is the promise and covenant with God. “Without the shedding of blood there is no remission” (Hebrews 9:21). That is why Jesus came to this earth as the Lamb of our atonement, saying, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). You said. Seeing this, John the Baptist exclaimed, “Behold the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29).
Also, as Jesus hung on the cross, he exclaimed, “It is finished” (Matthew 27:50). It means that we have paid the full price for our sins. At this time, the veil of the Holy of Holies was split open from top to bottom, opening the way for sinners to come to God. In other words, the barrier between God and us as sinners has been removed and we have gained the courage to enter the holy place through the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 10:19).
“Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption” (Hebrews 9:12), and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins (1 John 1:7). However, the problem is that people do not admit their sins and do not admit that they are sinners. But “if we confess our sins, he will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
The devil accuses us day and night (Revelation 12:12), but God does not remember our sins (Hebrews 10:17). God has the power to forget, so he doesn't even remember the sins we have repented of and forgives us if we confess and confess. We are sanctified, not because we live holy, but because “we were made holy through the offering of the body of Christ once for all on the cross” (Hebrews 10:10).
Being holy is not temporary, it is eternal, and it is a wonderful blessing to us because He has set us apart and made us His people and His children. I pray in the name of Jesus that we believe that these tremendous blessings have been granted to us through the grace of the Lord's precious blood and that we will be victorious in the Lord.
