Prepare for the next generation
Judges 2: 6-10
Happy Children's Day is in May. We call these children ‘the next generation’. But do we really see them as the next generation? Today's children are accumulating more knowledge with higher education costs than in the past. And when it comes to their children's education, parents are willing to take on the role of 'goose parents' when the family is separated. But will the children feel happier than the sacrifice? How about the church? Does it exist as a happy and peaceful space for children? No, it got worse. Church education is collapsing. The question of whether our children ‘dominate the world’s culture?’ or ‘do they live buried in that culture?’ depends on the current church education. Hagwon training is on Sundays, and national certification exams are also held on Sundays. The reality is that keeping Sunday is more difficult.
Children are moving towards selfishness, and children these days are easily broken even in the slightest adversity. We are becoming a generation that does not appreciate the gratitude of parents and teachers. I think it's because he's good at it. Looking at this sad reality, I ask a question. “How can I build up my faith?” “How Should We Educate in Faith?”
The text tells us that one generation of Israel died with Joshua, and the next generation forgot God and forgot what God had done. When we lose the knowledge of God, we forget humility, gratitude, and grace. This age eventually leads to the Dark Ages, lasting 300 years. For these 300 years, God is silent. Why did they forget God? This is because faith education for the next generation has failed. This failure leads to personal destruction. And it brought the destruction of the family and the destruction of the nation.
We are parents. We have an important mission to do for our children. It is to plant a vision of the kingdom of God. This mission means that the people of God live the dreams of God. We need to instill this mindset from an early age. We must teach the next generation with a pioneering spirit. Children who have gone through a crisis are strong and become good tools for God to use. Dare to throw your children at God. Instead of raising children with my abilities and experiences, let God raise them. There is only Yes and No in faith. There is no compromise. There is also no compromise. There is no compromise between right and wrong. After all, there is only Yes and No in faith. Satan likes to see believers compromise with the world. It's not our job to make our relationship with the world important. Our mission is to get them to meet God.
Children grow up watching their parents. Parents are the models for life. If parents keep their faith well, their children keep their faith well. If parents live honestly, their children also live honestly. Don't compare my children to others. And don't insist on being number one. You fall into your own selfishness. Let them grow up as children who praise each other's abilities, not boast of being number one.
And pray sincere in your heart for your children. Now is the time to cry for your children. A prayer of tears can change a child more than any word or rebuke. Pray that your children will not fall into the lusts of the world. And I hope that you will pray and cry deeply in your heart to become children who change the world by giving them the vision of the kingdom of God. This is our mission to prepare for the next generation.
