Ready to meet Isaac's wife
Genesis 24 1-9
A monk informed the villagers that he would preach a better sermon about God's love than any other sermon ever, and forced everyone to gather.
As time passed, the temple filled with the old and the young. Everyone was expecting to hear a good sermon through the service. The time has come. Nevertheless, the monk did not begin to preach.
Instead, he went to the place where he had placed the candlestick, picked up the candlestick with a brightly burning candle, and went up to the altar where the statue of Christ was crucified.
The monk lit the crucified arm with a quiet, brightly burning candle so that the assembled crowd could clearly see it. Next, he moved the candle and lit the other arm of Jesus, who was also crucified.
Then he knelt down and prayed. At that time, the candle was illuminating the two feet of Jesus who were crucified.
After a while the monk got up and turned around. Even then, the candle he was holding in his hand lit his face brightly, and the crowd could see the tears running down his cheeks as the monk spoke. "
Beloved, this is my sermon on the love of God who loves you."
Then he said a prayer of blessing and disappeared.
Who loves their children as parents do? Parents can die for their children.
Jesus Christ, who is God, loved us so much that He Himself became a human being and took up the cross.
It is the one who died on the cross. It was to show the love of God Himself to mankind.
Dear saints,
So far in chapter 23 we learn about Sarah's death and Abraham's faith in preparing a cemetery for his wife, and
I learned to love my wife.
And as we enter chapter 24, Abraham realizes that his death is approaching, and as he prepares to choose a wife for Isaac, he learns the love of his parents.
Life makes us feel that everyone is going to die at least once. And it is a word that tells us that the power of the world does not exist forever.
Another word is the announcement that the era of Abraham and Sarah is over and the era of Isaac is finally approaching.
Dear saints,
When the father is in the same place in the family, the sons and daughters do not wander. Most of the sons of families who do not act as fathers have problems. If the husband stays in place, the wife does not wander.
As for family problems, if the roles of husbands, wives, and fathers and mothers are not maintained, problems will arise in the family.
As the fathers, mothers, husbands, and wives of all the families of our church, are you taking good care of your positions? Greetings. Are you holding your position well?
We men should imitate the faith of Abraham.
We must learn Abraham as a father and as the husband of a woman.
In the past, he sent his beloved wife first and prepared the cemetery. Now, preparing for the wedding of his son is not a simple matter for a man.
