Title: Priestly Principles of Faith (1 Peter 2:1)
Priestly Principles of Faith
1 Peter 2:1-5
Thousands of people on this earth all live with more than one job. We call this a job. But when you look at the consciousness of the work they are doing, when you ask the question, “They are different.” Some answered that they work because they cannot die. For this person, work is boring. How boring and painful every day must be because you are working without dying. It is not easy for such a person to succeed or be happy, no matter how good the skills are. On the other hand, there are people who work to make a living. There is no need for meaning or reward for what you are doing now. It means nothing more than simply a means of making a living. There is no such thing as success for such a person. The third person is the one who works with joy. There are countless other things in this world and there are other things I can do, but what I am doing right now is the most precious and rewarding work, and there is happiness that comes from doing this work. Such a person is already a successful person, and is a happy enough person.
We are talking about the parts that were really problematic among the church members who were scattered in Asia Minor at the time, but how can it be like a dagger thrown at us today? Among the physiological processes of humans, there is a really important excretion process. If this excretion is not done well, you will get the disease and you will lose your life. In the same way, if we do not cast away these toxins of our religious life, which we are talking about in today's text, we will fall ill and die. These, which are of no benefit at all, should be thrown away quickly. And you have to throw it all away. It also needs to be thrown away properly.
And in verse 2, the second half, the final purpose of the holy priestly principle of faith is to grow. Everyone, faith must grow no matter what. After the first taste of the mother's milk, the infant sucks it frantically. Likewise, those who have tasted God's grace at least once cannot help but yearn for God's Word, and must strive to receive and eat God's Word properly. Then, why does my faith not grow even if I believe in 10 or 20 years? Why do you have faith that does not grow even if you become a high and noble officer? There are surprisingly many people like this. It is because you suck with a wound in your sucking mouth. No matter how much you suck on spiritual milk with germs inside, it doesn't help your growth. I am spiritually ill, so no matter how much I have listened to the Word every day with a crooked faith and mind, there is no way it will bring growth to my faith.
Dear saints!
Today the Bible says: We're all priests and we're all holy... It's not that you just have to do it well. It is more important for me to do well first. Let's throw away what we throw away. let's throw it away let's throw it all away Let's get it right And I hope you long for the Word of God, which is pure and spiritual milk in it. This is the priestly principle of faith.
