Title: Principle of Prosperity

Principle of Prosperity

(June 21, 2009) (Mt 14:13~21)

When the wind blows, you prosper, and when the wind blows, you suffer. - That's common sense.

But how good would it be if the company prospered regardless of whether the conditions were good or bad?

The Red Sea stood in the way in front of the pursued Israel - but Israel crossed the Red Sea and prospered because the Red Sea that was blocking them opened the way.

On the other hand, the waterless Red Sea made its way before the Egyptians they were pursuing - but after they entered the Red Sea, the waters of the Red Sea merged and they were slaughtered.

*Even if they went through an open road, there was Egypt that fell, and *There was Israel that prospered in front of the blocked sea.

*Lot, who had chosen the luxurious and prosperous Sodom, was destroyed, and *Abraham, who was left on a desolate ridge, prospered.

There are no conditions under which it can prosper, and there are no conditions under which it can fail.

Conditions seem to be important - people are more important than conditions - I pray that all the saints gathered here today will become prosperous saints.

1. We prosper when we gather together with the Lord.

How do you experience the miraculous prosperity of Oh Byeong-Eye, who appeared in front of people who had nothing to eat late at the bottom of the sea?

(14:13) - “When Jesus heard this, he got into the boat and left, and went by himself to an empty field. When the crowd heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities.” - Here is the secret to success.

Those who followed Jesus and gathered before Jesus prospered.

① Even empty people must gather.

It was an empty field - not a large home to sit back and relax. It is not a synagogue where we often gather to worship. - It was literally empty field. - But Jesus was there.

Even in the poor, if there was only Jesus, the people who gathered - they were blessed with prosperity.

Even in the empty fields, wherever Jesus was served, those who followed him happily prospered.

*Dear saints, how happy are we at Kyungil Church because we have a building where we can worship without worrying about whether it is raining, snowing, hot or cold?

I believe that the members who pray, sing, and worship diligently in a church where we can gather comfortably will prosper.

② Even if it is late, we must gather.

(14:15) - “When evening came, the disciples came to them and said, “This place is empty, and it is already evening. Send the crowds away so that they can go into the village and buy food to eat.

The time has already passed. It is evening. It's time to go home and get ready for bed.

But I did not want to leave because it was the place where Jesus was enshrined.

Prosperity came to those who did not want to leave the place where Jesus was enshrined, even when the time is late or in the evening.

In our church today, we don't even serve until late at night - at most, we can offer all services until 3pm. - I want you to imitate the people who stayed by Jesus' side without going back even when it was evening.

Even if you can't be there all day, even until the afternoon service - please do not go back to worship. Then I'm sure you'll be fine.

③ Even if there is nothing to eat, we must gather together.

(14:15) - “When evening came, the disciples came to them and said, “This place is empty, and it is already evening. Send the crowds away so that they can go into the village and buy food to eat.

They didn't even prepare anything to eat. The disciples of Jesus did not even prepare food and distribute it. - The crowd gathered there had nothing to eat, and the disciples of Jesus could not afford to share food, so they asked to send them back.

But they don't want to go back - they have Jesus, so it doesn't matter if you don't eat one meal - no one goes back. - They experienced the blessing of prosperity.

Our Kyungil Church is much better than them - we have lunch together after worship. If you don't go home after worship, they won't kick you out for dinner and ask you to eat together.

Whether it is empty or in the chapel, late or early, with or without food - please gather diligently when worshiping with Jesus - so I pray that you will become prosperous believers.

2. We thrive when we value small things.

A large chapel, many saints, and local residents are not the only things that are valuable.

A small chapel, a few saints, a poor and powerless one - are equally precious before God.

Although our church is small, it is a precious church. Our church members are at least precious people.

①Each lunch box is a precious gift.

(14:17) - “The disciples said to him, “We have only five loaves and two fish.”

Yes - there are more than 5,000 people who need to be fed - they only eat five loaves and two small fish - one lunch box for each person.

But when we cherish it and give it to Jesus - a great miracle happened and everyone prospered.

It is Jesus who received a large amount of money from the widow's money, and Jesus who received a large lunch box for 5 bottles and 2 fish.

Even if it is a small offering, when we give it with sincerity, our Jesus receives it preciously.

②Each child is precious.

(John 6:9) - “Here is a child who has five barley loaves and two fish.”

In fact, even the five barley loaves and the two fish - not the disciple's - belonged to a child.

A small lunch provided by a child was more than enough to feed 5,000 adults. - Neighborhood maintenance, rich or high-status people are not the only precious people - Rich or poor, high or low-ranking people, adults or children - Everyone gathered in front of Jesus is precious.

I saw a miracle of prosperity through a disciple who cherishes children and cherishes even a child's lunch box. - I hope you will become saints who value even the smallest things.

3. We prosper when we obey.

The thought of the disciples of Jesus was to send them back because it was too late and there was nothing to feed them. But the disciples were not stubborn as they thought.

① We must obey Jesus.

When he says, “Give me something to eat,” do you have something to share - obediently? I looked for it.

When he said, “Bring it,” he brought it, and Jesus gave it to the disciple, and the disciple gave it to him again.

Through the disciples who obeyed Jesus, I saw a miracle of prosperity. - Please obey Jesus.

② You must obey the pastor.

*The child gave his lunch to the disciple of Jesus, and the gathered people obeyed the disciples' words and sat down - A miracle happened when they obeyed the disciple of Jesus. Please obey the pastor.

4. If Jesus does it, it will surely prosper.

I thought about what I would do as a human being - He said that if we gather diligently before Jesus, cherish everything, and obey Jesus and the pastor, we will prosper.

More important than that - have faith that Jesus can do it, God can do it for you.

To those who gathered diligently in front of Jesus, to those who valued little things, and to those who obeyed - when Jesus blessed and gave the bread, a miracle happened and prospered.

Even if I am lacking, I hope you will have precious faith that you will prosper if Jesus does.

You do your duty as believers, and we believe that we will prosper because Jesus will love us.
