Title: Principles of Prayer (Matthew 06:5-8)
Contents At that time, the Pharisees thought that a person with good faith had to pray for a long time. I thought that those who kept their prayers short were people who lacked faith. In the end, I tried to pray for a long time so that I would not be told that I lacked faith.
1. Do not pray to be seen by others, but pray to God
Do not be like hypocrites (Matthew 6:6)
-The reason we pray in a synagogue where many people gather or at the entrance of a big street is to be seen by people.
I'm not trying to beautify the words
-Speaking to God naturally as a child speaks to its mother or father
2. Honestly
“The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his pleasure” (Proverbs 15:8).
God knows
(1) Find out what you need before asking (Matthew 6:8)
(2) Human constitution diagram (Psalm 103:14)
(3) Human folly (Psalm 69:5)
(4) Human behavior (Psalm 139:2-4)
(5) A person’s heart (1 Kings 8:39, Acts 1:24)
Therefore, we must pray honestly and honestly
3. According to God's will
The human will is to want to be comfortable, to be high, to have more...after all, greed
But if you ask according to your own desires and lusts, He will not hear you (James 4:3)
Jesus also - so he prayed, "Drink as I will, and the will of the Father." "This is the boldness we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."
(1 John 5:14)
Then, what is God's will, of course, to discern God's will that He requires of each individual
It's very difficult. In fact, many people mistakenly think that their thoughts are God's will rather than God's will.
The Bible clearly revealed God's comprehensive will for all people. The will of God that requires of individuals will not go beyond this range.
(1) Soul salvation (John 6:39-40)
(2) Holiness of the saints (1 Thessalonians 4:3)
(3) Rejoice and give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Why are you asking for a gift, is it not like Simon in Acts 8:18?
Why do you want to get sick, why do you want your business to thrive?
Are the above three wills of God included in all these prayers?
4. Without any doubt, trusting to answer
Believe that what you ask for in faith, you have received (Mark 11:22-24)
If you pray and believe that the mountain will be lifted up and thrown into the sea...
When the front of a Christian school was covered with mountains and it was stuffy and uncomfortable, the students believed this word and prayed. One day, a bulldozer and a dump truck came and started to carve down the mountain. It's because a lot of soil was needed for the road expansion, isn't this the answer, but there's only one useless prayer asking, "Let's see if I can be myself"
testing you.
In one village, it was very dry because it did not rain, so the whole village decided to go up the mountain to pray. At this time, a young student believed it would rain and went up with an umbrella. Isn't this a prayer of faith?
it's in the US. A middle-aged woman with a paralyzed lower body attended a certain Shinyu gathering.
All. People who knew her saw her sitting alone, without a wheelchair or caring family, and were concerned and asked why. Then she replied:
Says “Actually, my son and I came all the way in a wheelchair in the car. Then I told them to wait here. But I soon realized how wrong that was. If God would hear my prayers, I would walk home alone.
because it can go wrong. So I sent them all back." Of course, she walked home that day.
Be confident and expect God to answer your prayers. "Even if it delays, wait; it will surely come without delay."
"Ask in faith, and do not doubt at all. A person who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind; such a person expects to get anything from the Lord.
not" (James 1:6-7).
