Title: Principles of Raising Children (Ephesians 6:4)
Contents
Today is Children's Day. With the text of Ephesians 6:4 as the main text, I would like to ponder the word under the title “Principles of raising children. Psalm 127:3 “Children are an inheritance from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” It is the most precious mission given to all of us to nurture the children that God has given as a blessing to our families and to make them valuable to God. It can be said that In today's text, the Apostle Paul says, "And fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord" (NIV. Fathers, do not exasperate your children; Instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord) You said. In these verses, the apostle Paul speaks of important principles of educating children.
1. Do not provoke your children (6:4).
1) Do not abuse your father's rights too much (Colossians 3:21, Proverbs 15:1).
2) Appeal to their reason and conscience to make them realize their mistakes (2 Timothy 3:16).
3) We must nurture them with true love (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).
2. It is to train your children from an early age (6:4).
1) It is to train them from a young age (from the womb) (6:4, Proverbs 22:6, 2 Timothy 3:15, 1 Samuel 1:27-28).
2) Punishment and training from a young age (6:4, Proverbs 23:13, 1 Samuel 3:13).
3) We must teach especially honesty (6:4, Exodus 20:15,16, Proverbs 11:3).
3. It is to teach your children the word of God (6:4, 2 Timothy 3:15-16).
1) We must teach the fear of God (Proverbs 1:7, Genesis 39:9).
2) Responsibility and respect for others must be taught (1 Peter 2:17).
3) We must teach to serve and serve others (Mark 10:45, John 13:15, 17).
The most necessary thing for raising children is to truly love them, teach them by example, and pray to God. If you punish them from an early age and teach them to fear God, to take responsibility, to respect others, and to serve others through the Word of God, they will become worthy of God's use.
