25:14 And as a man goes to a foreign country, and calls his servants to entrust his possessions.
25:15 And each of them gave one man five talents of gold, the other two talents, and the other one talent, according to his talents, and left.
25:16 The one who had received the five talents went right away and traded with them, and made another five talents.
25:17 He who had received two talents did the same, and gained two more.
25:18 The one who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money.
25:19 After a long time the master of the servants returned and settled accounts with them.
25:20 The one who had received the five talents brought five more and said, Master, you gave me five talents, and behold, I have gained five more.
25:21 And his master said, Well done, good and faithful servant, since you have been faithful over a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.
25:22 The one who had received the two talents also came and said, "Master, you have given me two talents; behold, I have gained two more."
25:23 And his master said, Well done, good and faithful servant, for you have been faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.
25:24 The one who had received the one talent came and said, "Master, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter.
25:25 I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground; behold, you have taken yours.
25:26 His master answered and said, "You wicked and lazy servant, did you know that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not sown?
25:27 Then you should have left my money with the money-takers, and then I would have returned and received my principal and interest.
25:28 Take the one talent from him and give it to the one who has ten.
25:29 To everyone who has, he will receive and have an abundance; from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
25:30 Cast this useless servant out into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
