Title: Prove your love (1 John 2:7-11)
Prove your love (1 John 2:7-11) - Rev. Geun Lee
[1 John 2:7-11]
[7] ♠ Beloved, I am not writing a new commandment to you. It is an old commandment that you have from the beginning, and this old commandment is what you have heard. [8] ♠ Again, I am writing a new commandment to you. It is also true for you, for the darkness has passed and the true light has already dawned. [11] ♠He who hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not where he is going, because darkness has blinded his eyes.
Please tell your children that you love them. Love is to express. There are many love stories. It's not easy to define love. It is said that love between a man and a woman is love that breaks the shell, and love between friends is love that leaves the shell behind. A lot can be said with love. There is more love of God than this. The crystallization of that love is Jesus Christ. It is easy to say that I love you, but you need to realize the deep meaning of that love. We, who believe in Jesus, must love giving out the whole kernel. How to love and with what attitude to love?
First love is a new commandment every day.
Second, love must be proven every day.
I need to know right away whether I am in the light or in the dark. Because when darkness blinds you, you don't know what you're doing. I have to prove it in my life. If you love, you are a true disciple. We must shine and show light through love. It is of no use if you keep it in your mind. 2 Corinthians 2:8 “Therefore, I urge you to show your love for them.”
After completing discipleship training and ministry class, Darakbang also goes on vacation, but you have to live as you have been trained. You have to live by showing what you've been trained to do. It makes me think of spreading love only to those outside the church. But if you do well on the inside, you will do well on the outside. I want you to love me first before I go to work. You must love before you pray. Be faithful to the commandments God has given you. May the blessings of the Lord cover everything that comes out of your mouth and heart.
