Introduction
The Bible tells us that all humans are sinners. However, by the grace of God, I believed in Jesus Christ and became a child of God. Then, as children, what should we believe, what should we hope for, and what should we love? Let's see how the Bible answers it.
1. I believe in God's forgiveness (verses 3-4).
“Lord, if you watch over sin, who can stand before you? Forgiveness is something only you can do, so we fear only you.”
Since all human beings are sinners, if God condemns them, no one will be saved. But it is believing that all sins can be forgiven if the Lord forgives them. This kind of faith is the best faith and the possessor of the faith that deserves salvation. It is an unquestioning belief in God's love and forgiveness. If you have this kind of faith, the Lord will say, Let it be done according to your faith. We must believe that no matter what sin we have committed, He will forgive us (Ezekiel 33:11, 18:23).
2. Waiting for salvation in hope (verses 5-6)
“I wait for the Lord. My soul waits for the Lord, and I wait only for the word of the Lord. My soul waits for the Lord more than a watchman waits for the morning. Truly more desperate than a watchman waiting for the morning.”
Those who have been saved are waiting for the Lord's return and salvation to be fully enjoyed. The Apostle Paul said, “For the creation longs for the manifestation of the sons of God, for it is not his will that the creation submits to futility, but it is through him who submits it, and it hopes that the creation will also be set free from its bondage to corruption. and to the liberty of the glory of the children of God. 23) did.
3. We preach the Lord's love until the day we live.
“Israel, trust in the Lord alone. Only in the Lord is mercy, and in Him alone is the great power of redemption. Only the Lord redeems Israel from all sins.”
Because a sinner was saved free of charge through God's love and grace, we are so thankful that we cannot repay it with anything, so we are preaching the gospel of the Lord's love. The psalmist said, "Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and give me a willing spirit to sustain me; then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn to you" (Psalm 51:12-13). And the Apostle Paul said, "Even if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, because it is something I must do, for if I do not preach the gospel, woe to me" (1 Corinthians 9:16). That's right. It is said that there is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends (John 15:13). We risk our lives to preach the gospel of the Lord's love.
conclusion
If we, who are sinners and have no choice but to perish, are saved, what should we do until salvation is complete? We must preach the gospel of the Lord's love while believing in the grace of the Lord's redemption and looking forward to the salvation that we can fully enjoy.
