What is a church?
1. The church is a place to praise God (verse 1).
The church is so precious. Especially in the church, God's will is done.
(Isaiah 43:21)
“This people I have formed for myself, that they may sing my praises.”
He said that God created man to sing praises. We sing in the mountains, in our homes, and in the fields, but it is the church where we gather together to praise passionately. Therefore, the church is a house of praise that fulfills the will of God for us.
(Psalm 22:3) also says, “Lord, who dwells in the midst of praise,” and the Lord comes and brings blessings to the church where praise is resounding. God made David, the champion of praise, rich and honorable to old age.
Please believe that when we love and praise the Lord, He will make us rich and honorable in old age. Trust me that you will become the head, not the tail. God especially loves a church full of hymns. So please believe that being a member of the church's choir is more precious than being a member of the National Choir. In a way, we are all precious people of God who praise the Lord like choir members.
It is the church where the hymns resound. Even if there is beautiful music all over the world, I believe that even if we collect all the songs from all the famous music halls in the world, we will not be able to compete with the praises of the church.
2. The church is a house of prayer (verse 2).
(Mark 11:17) Jesus said, “My house is a house of prayer for all people.”
Some people pray in the mountains, some in the prayer hall, some at home, in the closet, but please believe that the best place for prayer that God approves, hears, and answers is the church of God.
I met God through prayer at church. The church, where could there be a more precious house than this house? Prayer is accurate and infallible.
3. The church is where we eat the bread of life (verse 4).
The yard is a place to eat. The yard is a place to eat and drink. Our Bible also says, “We will be content with all good blessings in your house, in your holy temple.”
Eat the bread of life. The only place to eat the bread of life is the church. At Seoul National University, at Harvard University, you can't eat the bread of life. Even in a high-end restaurant, you cannot eat the bread of life.
If you eat the bread of life, you will live forever. That's amazing. To eat the bread of life is to eat Jesus. I wish you to eat the bread of life every day, to be strong, and to have eternal life.
