Text: (Psalm 68:1~35)

Hymns: 191. I am happy every day

Venue: Jeonju Yebut Church Small Worship Room

Remember the words of today's text. “The God of the sanctuary, the God of Israel, is a fearful one. He is the One who gives strength and power to His people. Praise God!” (Psalm 68:35) Our God is worthy of praise, who gives strength and power to His people.

Most of us will have no question about the fact that God is omnipotent. The question is, can we get that tremendous power? How can we receive the power of Almighty God?

1. We must acknowledge our weakness (verses 1-2).

If you want to gain the power of God, you must first acknowledge your weakness. Confess your incompetence and your inability to handle all your problems.

We must get down on our knees and admit our weakness. The Bible often speaks of pride. They teach that one of the things God hates the most is pride. Pride is not realizing that we desperately need God in our lives. It's about holding on to what I can do with everything to some extent.

The Bible says “When a man is proud he will be humbled, but if he is humble of heart he will find honor” (Proverbs 29:23) If we want the power of God, we must put down the steering wheel of our life. And please sit comfortably in the back seat. Ask God to take the wheel of our lives. Then you will experience the power of omnipotence.

2. Make sure you have access to the source of your powers (verses 19-20).

Do you need skills? Access the source of power. Electrical appliances must be plugged in to function properly. So is life. It works properly when accessing that Glory Power. The confession, “I can do all things in Christ” is when we are connected to the Almighty. You can live the best life when you have direct connection with God the Creator.

How long has it been since you started your life of faith? However, if you need the strength of that glory, you need to reaffirm it even now, no matter what your experience of faith is.

The Lord told the story of vineyard farming so that people of his day could understand. In early spring, the farmer cuts all the branches of the vine. The cut vine branches piled up in the corner of the field will never bear fruit even in summer. “I am the vine and you are the branches; if he in me and I in him, this man bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5)

3. You must choose a way to show the power of God (verses 34-35).

This is perhaps the most difficult. The Bible shows so clearly that the power of God and our faith are directly connected. Jesus did not perform any miracles in that town because they did not have faith. Because he did not have faith, he did not perform any more powers there and ended it.

What does it mean to choose God's way? Make a choice of faith. When you connect to God like that, it becomes clear. It doesn't make the choice easier, it just makes it clear what to choose. There is no easy way in life. There is a clear way. Therefore, we must choose God's way. Then God says that I will show you my power. Look at our faith and show your power.
