◎Genesis 1:20 ◎Explanation of Genesis⑮-Purify the world
The fifth day of the creation of the heavens and the earth has finally opened. This is verse 20. God said, “Let the waters multiply with living things.
Look closely at these words. God is giving orders to the water. “Let the waters multiply with living things,” he commands. It's like the sea has ears and is conscious to hear God's commands. This is the difference between what God says and what we say. What do we mean? Because it only affects the perception of a person, it can only be transmitted when the other person is conscious. But the Word of God is a word that can be commanded directly to the sea and the land. When God says, “Let there be living things” in the sea, it is done, and when you say, “Let there be beasts” on the earth, it is so. The earth and the sea are the servants of God. We are always ready to put our hands together and listen to the word of God. This land is not without owners. When God says, “Do this,” you do this. When God says, “Do this,” you do not even die.
Also, if too much pollutants get into the water as it is today, all the fish will die. So water does not stand still, but exerts its ability to purify itself. look at the brook It doesn't just flow down, it turns into clear water and comes down. So, even if someone washed their hair with soap from above, the fish can survive as they come down and become purified. In this way, the sea or water should not neglect the function of helping and protecting fish to live.
If God gave water the power to purify in the providence of creation, he gave us the power and ability to purify the world to us living in this sinful world. The disciples of Jesus received that power and performed the power to purify the decaying things in the world by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ against the Judaists and all kinds of heresies. If we have any mission on this earth, it is to purify this decaying world in the name of Jesus Christ.
If the water doesn't have the ability to purify, bad impurities will float on the water all day long. Also, if the water does not have the ability to purify, more and more water will continue to be polluted and more fish will die as it flows down as well as the part when the water is polluted. Just as God has given water the power to purify, so he has given us the power to purify the world when we trust in the name of Jesus Christ.
This world is full of all kinds of filth and pollutants. If we go on like this, our descendants will have to live by drinking polluted water. Although water has the ability to purify, there will come a time when it will feel limited when it comes to contaminants that continue to grow. The purifying power of water does not last forever. Even if it could be partially purified, if the entire planet were polluted, water would recognize its limitations.
The same goes for purifying the world. Even though we say that we purify the pollutants that are happening around us in the name of Jesus Christ, one day, even this world will be full of sins that we cannot control on our own. That is the time of our Lord's judgment. But at this point, our job is to clean up the pollutants polluting by unbelievers and by believers. Just as he gave water the power to purify, he gave us humans the power to purify the world when we rely on the name of Jesus Christ.
