Title: Purity of Heart / Matthew 5:8

Contents

Title / Purity of Mind

Text / Matthew 5:8

No one wants their house to be full of garbage, but there are many people who live with garbage in their hearts, more importantly. Because of that, people are failing their lives with an uneasy and negative unhappy life.

Negative mind hardens the mind and kills creative ideas.

That is why the mind needs general cleaning and regular general cleaning.

In the text, Jesus said that blessed are the pure in heart. The reason is that we can see God. Only those who are pure in heart can see God.

Because you have eyes that can see God in your heart.

According to 1 Samuel 16:7, God does not look at the outward appearance, but the heart.

"The LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or his height, for I have forsaken him. I do not look like man; man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

To see the heart means to look at the heart.

That's why we need to keep our minds open. Because God sees.

The human heart can really hold many things. It can hold everything. The name and value of the vessel change depending on what it contains.

If you put rice in it, it becomes a rice bowl, if you put jewels in it, it becomes a treasure, and if you put alcohol in it, it becomes a drink pot.

When you put trash in it, it becomes a trash can. When you fill it with poison, it becomes a poison vessel with a skull symbol on it.

One day, on TV, divers were mobilized and filmed with a camera in the water of a river in Seoul. From the outside it looked very clean, but the screens the divers took inside were full of trash.

The same is true of the modern mind.

On the outside, they appear to be gentle, polite, respectful, and educated, but the things inside them are full of all sorts of dirty thoughts.

What kind of garbage can sink into the hearts of the saved saints?

1. Remnants of Emotions

People have emotions. There are happy and joyful emotions, but there are also sad and hopeless emotions. Life is a life where emotions of joy and sorrow intersect each other.

However, when these emotions of joy and sorrow work, the dregs fall and accumulate in the heart one by one. Sad and sad thoughts pile up, hate thoughts pile up, and hate thoughts pile up. The accumulated emotions are the leftovers of emotions.

There are times when you become hated and hated for no reason. And there are times when a heart that looks mean and gets caught up in a sense of victimization arises. It is because the dregs of emotions have accumulated in the heart.

Why do these emotions arise?

It is because someday there is a wound that you do not know about.

There are times when others hurt you, but there are also times when you hurt yourself. That's why it's important to practice not to get hurt. When you get hurt, you leave behind a residue of emotion. Even if you pray, this won't go away.

How can we get rid of the leftovers of our emotions?

It is washed away by active giving.

That's why Jesus told us to pray for our enemies when they hate us. It's not just a prayer. A prayer of forgiveness A prayer of love. This is because the dirty residue of emotions is washed away.

There is a story like this.

The daughter-in-law asked for a drug to silently kill her hated mother-in-law so that the daughter-in-law, who had suffered a lot in her mother-in-law's marriage, killed her.

A senator gave me the secret.

That is to tell my daughter-in-law to bake delicious chestnuts every day and give them seven a day for three months.

From that day on, the daughter-in-law began to bake chestnuts every night to give them to her mother-in-law. The mother-in-law was skeptical at first of her daughter-in-law who suddenly baked chestnuts, but later began to praise her as she went to the neighborhood.

The daughter-in-law was known as a filial piety in the neighborhood.

The daughter-in-law felt good. So I went to the doctor and asked my mother to give me a drug that will never die.

2. Remnants of Thought

Our hearts should always be bright and cheerful. However, as the dregs of emotions subsided, I started to think a lot. What are the dross of thoughts that have sunk in our minds?

Anxiety and worry.

These are negative and negative thoughts.

3. Remnants of Sin

In Mark 7:21-23, it is said about the things that come out of the human heart.

?or from within, out of the heart of men, come evil thoughts: fornication, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, a lustful eye, blasphemy, pride, madness. All these evils are from within. come out and defile a person

Even Cain's first murder came from his heart. So was King David's momentary adultery. Therefore, in order to receive blessings from God, we must first fix our broken heart.

However, for Christians, these wastes of active sin have already been removed through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. However, despite this, there are still lingering stalks of sin in our hearts.

It is being forgiven, but still not free from remorse and remorse.

The force that continues to condemn in the conscience of a forgiven person is not the sending of God, but the clever technique of Satan and the devil.

Even after being forgiven, there are people who live by it. After believing in Jesus, there is no condemnation.

Remorse for repented sins is self-destructive. It will lead you to a life where you lose courage and sit down in the midst of constant self-discipline. It is a good thing that remorse leads to repentance, but it is only the dregs of sin that allow you to repent and live a new life and condemn yourself in your heart. These are the remnants of sin that must be brushed off and washed away.

What is the secret to washing away these dregs of the mind?

1) You will be refreshed with the word.

In John 15:3, Jesus said, "You are already clean by the words I spoke to you." The words spoken by Jesus mean the words of God, the truth. So, in John 17:17, he prayed, "Sanctify them by the truth, for your word is truth."

When we listen to the word of God, the dirty things accumulated in our hearts are washed away.

2) You must take a spiritual bath.

Just as our body takes a shower when it gets dirty, our soul needs a spiritual shower.

Bathe in tears of repentance and gratitude

Mary Magdalene was a prostitute. There, she was a woman possessed by seven demons. Even after receiving the Lord's grace, he was tormented by the remorse of his conscience for his past sins.

Even though I knew I was forgiven, I wasn't sure, so I always had no courage. But one day he fell at the feet of Jesus and repented with tears.

The Lord sees the tears of saints with joy.

In particular, he sees the tears of suffering and shed tears for the sins he has committed. He sees those tears and brings them to life.

You must bathe in the blood of Christ.

Zechariah 13:1 says, "In that day a fountain of sin and defilement will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem." The opening of the fountain to wash away dirt from is the merit of the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Whoever believes in the shed blood of Jesus Christ for their sins, the Holy Spirit washes away everything from their hearts.

Hebrews 9:14 says, ?ow can the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Said.

We need to take a daily spiritual shower by mixing our tears with the blood of Jesus Christ. I hope that you will take a spiritual bath so that your soul does not dry out.

3) You are cleansed by the Holy Spirit.

Titus 3:5 says, "He saved us, not because of our works of righteousness, but according to his mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit..."

The Holy Spirit is like fire.

The Spirit is like water.

The Spirit is like the wind.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, all our filthiness is washed away with the blood of Jesus, and the garbage of our hearts and emotions is cleansed away.

Blessed is having a pure heart. Because it is the eyes of the heart that can see God.

When a person's heart is unclean, the spirit of an unclean spirit reigns.

That's why Proverbs 4:23 says, "More than anything else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life."

Today is a day to clean your mind.

Confess your sins and rely on the merits of the blood of Jesus Christ. I hope that the power of God's word will come to all of us so that we can see God with an open mind.
