Title: Purity Restoration

Contents

Restore purity (Deuteronomy 22:9-12)

The world we live in has become a world that has lost its purity.

It is a pesticide that is stronger than natural vegetables or fruits grown purely in the garden.

Grown vegetables and fruits overflow. Every restaurant uses too much seasoning.

It's not good to feel bloated after eating.

In one restaurant, we do not use seasonings and use pure

There is even a notice that says, "Only millennium salt is used."

That means they use a lot of seasoning.

There are many farmed fish, so they are rare. The taste is different.

The wild ones are crunchy, but the food is poodle.

Even a single drop of sesame oil from the old days shakes the heavens and the earth.

These days, it doesn't smell even if you put a spoonful of it.

It's all mixed up and loses its pure taste.

The same goes for those who believe. You are the light of the world.

You said that you are salt in the world, but today there are saints who have only a lamp whose fire is extinguished.

Too many. Salt is salt, but there are too many saints who have lost their taste.

When salt loses its taste, it is of no use and is simply thrown out. That's right. If a saint loses his innocence, he is a toothless tiger.

It's going to be Samson with a blind eye.

So in today's text, Moses told the people of Israel that you were in the land of Canaan.

When you enter, you are told that you must keep three things of purity.

What is purity? Pure, Simple, Humble, Faithful

1. Purity of Faith

Verse 9, “You shall not sow two seeds in your vineyard. Then the seed you sow

lest all the fruit and the produce of the vineyard be taken away.”

The vineyard here is a metaphor for the land of Canaan,

The two kinds of seed are the God of the people of Israel and Canaan.

It is a metaphor for idols that people worship.

In other words, do not mix the two seeds. This means that the Canaanites serve

It is said that you should not serve idols with God.

If you have a double heart and serve God with idols, you will not be deprived of everything.

that you are getting hit. Blessings, corporations, land, and fruits

It means losing everything. When you see this, the mixed faith that holds two hearts

I know you're going to lose everything.

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for one cannot

Either hate and love the other, or cherish one and love the other.

because it is despised. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

You cannot serve both God and Money.

If you look at the history of Israel, even in the midst of hardship and tribulation, God

When I genuinely believed, I was victorious.

However, he turned away from the truth and disobeyed, crossing both God and foreign gods at the same time.

While serving, he became a prisoner of Egypt and slavery in Babylon.

Also in the text, the Israelites entered the blessed land of Canaan.

Now the years have passed and I am at peace

The Israelites who had served worshiped the idols of the Canaanites together.

I started to leave the word of God.

Do you know what happened at this time? Around 1000 BC, Israel went north to south

They split up (in the days of King Solomon).

The divided northern Israel was captured by the Assyrians in 722 BC, and the southern Judah

After 346 years, they were taken captive by Babylon and their country was taken away.

Israel lost its country for the next 2000 years and became a wandering, nomadic people.

And in 1948, God took pity on them and restored the nation, but Israel is still bleeding through war to find the land lost at that time. It's a historical lesson.

So are we. If the pure gospel is planted in our hearts

You must thoroughly defend your faith so as not to be mixed and not to be corrupted. Do not mix with the world.

Mixing different things with the words of the Bible is like mixing different seeds in a vineyard. If you mix the truth with worldly things or untruths, you will ruin both.

It's like if you mix yeast with powder, all of the powder will rot.

Principle. Do not mix right truth with anything else. That is why the church should teach only the Bible to children, not fairy tales and other useless things.

If Jesus is very thin, if he is not innocent like a child, he will definitely go to heaven.

Did you say you can't go in?

At that time, the people lost their innocence and became so cleverly corrupted...

This is what I was told to understand.

So, in the truth, so as not to lose the purity of your faith,

I pray that you wake up and protect yourself.

2. Purity of Life

10-11 “You shall not yoke oxen and donkeys for wool,

You must not wear clothes that are woven with linen (linen).”

“You shall not yoke an ox and a donkey” means to yoke the same kind.

It means that you have to bear it, and if you are yokeed with the same kind, you will fail.

In the spring, when the cows plow the field, they yoke two cows to plow the field.

Recalling this, it is saying that you should not make a pair of cows and donkeys.

The reason is simple. Ox and donkey have different strength and cannot be yoke together. And because of the difference in their steps, they cannot bear the yoke together.

And because they have different personalities, they cannot plow the fields together.

The ox and donkey here refer to the people of God and the people of the Gentiles.

If you go into Canaan, you are told not to live with the Canaanites. This is because if you live in partnership with the Canaanites, you lose your purity as God's people. They will soon be assimilated into the world's culture, and life itself will become a life of eating sin. You must refrain from doing business with an unbeliever/marrying an unbeliever/ arranging any business with an unbeliever.

Because the values are so different.

The sad thing about immigration ministry is that there are many students who go abroad to study abroad. Recently, six international students gang-raped a girl in Toronto, causing a huge shock to the entire Canadian society.

We do drugs, we become gangsters, we live together... Why is this like this? The reason is simple.

This is because they were easily assimilated and accepted into the bad free culture on this side. Even small sins grow. In the end, because of that sin, I derailed and perished without knowing it.

It also means the same thing as not to wear clothes made of wool and linen.

Fleece is wool. The linen is linen. If you mix this to make clothes, it will break apart. It's like water and oil.

According to 2 Corinthians 6:14-16, “Do not yoke ye with unbelievers. What is the harmony between righteousness and lawlessness, what is the fellowship between light and darkness, what is the harmony between Christ and Belial, what is the harmony between the temple of God and idols? We are the temple of the living God.

Does this mean that we Christians should not talk to unbelievers, do business with them, or do not trade at all? No, we should rather go into them. We must go into them and evangelize them to become God's people like us. But we must not enter into them and do iniquity with them, deceive the conscience with them, and become sinners with them.

I sometimes think of this to myself.

How will the faces of the descendants of the Ha clan look like if my descendants go down 4-5

I am thinking of changing it. Maybe I don't know, but I think it may have turned into a white person, a black person, a Norman person, or several hybrids. Even Eunsun is a Canadian born here...

In today's text, we are not talking about racial issues.

Because the pure religious life as God's people is in harmony with the people of the world in Canaan,

This is a warning that must not be corrupted. Therefore, we must pray. We must pray so that I, my family, and my descendants will not become partners with the world and become enemies of God. Lord! Let our descendants become descendants who serve only God, even if their 5th, 6th, or 7th generations go down. Amen

3. Outward purity!

Verse 12 “You shall put wine in your ears in your robe.”

Make tassels on the four corners of your robe.

What does it mean? It is found in Numbers 15:37-40. “The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, Command the children of Israel to put tassels in the ears of their robes for their generations to come.

make it, and add a blue cord to the fringes of his ears; this fringe, which you will see, is all the Lord's

Remember the commandments, do them, and set aside the lusts of your heart and your eyes,

lest you obey me, so that you will remember and do all my commandments, and you will be holy before your God.”

Asking for wine in your ears is when you are putting on your clothes

To remember and keep the commandments. And that you do not follow the lusts of your own hearts and eyes, which you are indulging in.

After all, putting fringes on the four ends of the shirt is an outward sign that I am a pure people of God. Many people could easily tell that he was a people of Israel by looking at the wine. Just like Moses, let us know that we are God's people externally.

I sometimes wonder what it would be like for all Christians to wear badges on their chests.

An elder, or a deacon, a priest, or a saint...

Perhaps then, I think that this Korean society will become more sincere and brighter.

In Korea, the church minivan has the church name on it, so you can't cut it, you can't break traffic laws, you can't swear when something bad happens, and you don't know how careful I was.

That's right. In fact, even if we don't wear these marks on our outer garments or badges on our chests, in the eyes of others, that person must be recognized as a true Christian. is to do

Therefore, our words must be more mature. Our character needs to be refined. Like Paul, you must be able to confidently say, “Be an imitator of me.”

Conclusion.

Let's restore purity of faith/ purity of life/ outward purity.

So I pray that you will be all who glorify God

I bless you in the name of the Lord.
