Purpose driven life (16) The most important thing

Text: 1 Corinthians 13:3 If I give all that I have and give my body to be set on fire, but without love it is of no use to me.

A man was given an eraser from the magician, and the magician said to him, "With this eraser, you can erase anything but one thing." Said. So, with an eraser, he erased a newspaper full of the faces and words of the world's great people. Then, to my surprise, it was completely erased. He was excited. I also deleted picture books, deleted photo albums, deleted poems, and deleted novels. He decided to delete the dictionary altogether. However, no matter how much I rubbed with the eraser, everything else was erased, but only one word was not erased. After sweating profusely and rubbing, the eraser finally ran out. The word he and the eraser couldn't erase was the word "love."

This eraser stands for time. Time makes everything disappear into oblivion. Nothing in this world is eternal, but only one love is eternal. There may be many things about Jesus Christ who lived and passed away at a very young age, but the thing that stands out the most is the love of the Lord. That love is the redeeming love that loved us. As the years go by, everything in this world wears out, but only love doesn't get old. Schweitzer, who was also called the saint of love, said, "Love is an eternal thing in which man can possess its true essence here and now."

The definition of love in a book called "contradiction" by Yang Gwi-ja, a best-selling author among Korean novelists, is described in such a fun way. "Love is never free from all the empty phones at home, at work, or on the street. The restraint of the phone is far more tenacious than that of the occupation forces. Just looking at the phone makes it seem like a phone call is coming from a loved one I can't stand it because I want to call him. When the phone rings, I think it's that person. If the phone doesn't ring for a long time, I think the phone is broken. That's love."

And he says: "The heart that cannot pass without looking at yourself in front of all mirrors is love. Because the loved one is precious, and the loved one is precious, whether handsome or ugly, the inability to endure without looking in the mirror is love."

Love waits and is happy. I am happy to hear that voice. happy to see him Being with him makes me happy. That is love. It doesn't matter what you do now. It seems like it can do anything. I think I can bear any pain. That is love.

A person named Peter Hansen, an authority on preventive medicine in the United States, said, "If a person is to be healthy, there are a few things to be careful about. First, you must eat a proper diet, second, you must exercise moderately, and thirdly, you must give up bad habits." "Tobacco, alcohol, getting angry, being lazy, these things, you have to boldly give up bad habits. Then you will be healthy." It seems to be common sense that almost everyone knows, but the problem lies next.

“This is 50% and the other 50% is love,” he said. “You have to feel love and be in love to be healthy.” So he concludes like this. “Love of neighbor is not only a moral issue, but a health issue,” but if we take it one step further, it can be said that “love is a life issue.” It can be not only a matter of happiness or unhappiness, but also a matter of life or death.

People live and die out of love. In the end, they even say that the problem of love is a matter of life and death. The problem is that this love is a commandment. God's command is that my life is at stake here. How do I keep this commandment given with love? There is a problem. It is about your heart and your attitude toward this blessed commandment.

A commandment or law usually takes on a negative aspect, mainly saying, "You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not covet, You shall not". "Don't do it" is a commandment, and it is an absolute command. All that's left other than what we've been told not to do is that it's our choice. That's up to me, but here's the mysterious problem.

Because God is love, he wants us to learn love the most on this earth. Love is the foundation of all his commands. “The whole law is fulfilled in one word, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’” (Galatians 5:14). God wants us to love everyone, but especially in His family, He wants us to learn to love one another. He said to love everyone, but more to the family of faith. Because God wants people to know how they love each other in God's family. That is why love must be our number one priority, love is not a good part, but the most important part of our lives, and a life without love is not worth (1 Corinthians 13:3). The purpose of life is to learn to love God and love people.

Love is eternal and when we enter eternal life we leave everything on this earth, but we take the character of love with us. The best way to express this kind of love is time. Time is the most precious gift we have received and the best gift we can give to anyone. Giving time gives you attention and the best time to love is right now. The Bible tells us to love at every opportunity, and at every opportunity, if we can help now, it tells us not to put it off until tomorrow.

loving God

The most precious thing in this world is to love God.

The most urgent thing in this world is to love God.

The most valuable thing in this world is to love God.

The happiest thing in this world is to love God.

What you need to do right now and stop what you are doing in this world is to love God.

God only requires one thing from me.

It's "Let's make deep love with me in the secret place of the crevice of the rock"

To love God is to open your heart, feel the Lord quietly, hear His voice, and have intimate, personal and personal fellowship with Him.

maze of love

The famous commentator Bengel explains in four steps.

If there is neither love nor fear, it is ignorance; if there is only fear without love, it is the law; if there is love and fear, it is conflict; love without fear is faith. True love, there is peace, courage and creativity in it. Love is not something that can be extorted. When we come to love God while always recognizing the truth of the infinite love revealed in the cross, that God has already loved me without expecting anything in return, we will also love ourselves and love everyone, and finally we will love ourselves. Because God is love, we can testify of this and live such a life where we always win freely.

People live because there is love

Everyone lives by love, not by self-examination. I was able to live safely

Not because I was worried about tomorrow in various ways, but because the people who passed by and their wife loved me, and they took pity on me and loved me. All human beings are living not because everyone is concerned about their own business, but because there is love in them. To think that everyone can live by worrying is just what humans think, and in fact, living by love. - Tolstoy-

1. Life is about love.

1) Through love, we can best resemble God.

2) How to love must be learned throughout life.

○ It is not easy to love without selfishness, because it is the opposite of self-centered human nature.

3) God wants us to learn to love one another, especially in God's family.

○ It is because the family of faith can testify of Jesus best through the way they love.

(John 13:35) By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

4) Since we cannot learn love alone, He wants us to learn the art of love by socializing with people who annoy us and embarrass us.

2. The most beautiful way to live life is to love.

1) Life without love is worthless. (1 Corinthians 13:3) Even if I give with all that I have and give my body to be burned, without love it is of no use to me.

2) After learning how to love God (worship), learning to love others is the second purpose of our life.

○ Four of the ten commandments are about our relationship with God, and the other six are about our relationship with people. In the end, the life of faith is also made up of all relationships.

○ Without love in life, nothing is left.

3) Love is eternal. (1 Corinthians 13:13) Therefore, faith, hope, and love, these three will always be, and the greatest of these is love

① It is not our achievements or wealth that have the greatest influence on this earth, but how we treat others. is.

Mother Teresa - "It's not what we do that matters, but how much love we put into it"

② At the end of life on earth, no one wants to be around the people they love and have relationships with without asking them to bring their achievements or wealth.

4) We are evaluated by love.

① One of the measures of spiritual maturity is our human relationships.

② The way to love Jesus is to love God's family and take care of their practical needs.

(Matthew 25:40) Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.

3. The best expression of love is time.

1) Time is the most precious gift we have received. Because time is limited.

2) If you want to know a person's priorities, you can tell by looking at how he uses his time.

3) Time is our life. Therefore, it is the best gift we can give to someone.

4) Love means being willing to give up my preferences, comforts, money, and time for the good of another.

4. The best time to love is now.

1) No one knows how long we will have a chance to love.

○ Circumstances change. People die and children grow.

2) No one can guarantee that we have tomorrow. So if you want to express your love, you have to do it right now.

Day 16 / About the purpose of my life

Points to think about: Life is love.

Memorable Words: "For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself'" (Galatians 5:14).

Questions that leave life:

1. Do you have an example of love for you? How are you?

2. Are you dedicated to your family, but how much time do you spend with them?

3. Can I honestly say that relationships are my number one priority? How can you be sure?
