Title: Purpose of Suffering/Daniel 3:19-25

Contents

1. Those who have never eaten bread soaked in tears are told not to talk about life.

As the saying goes, only the widow knows the widow's circumstances.

2. Suffering is terrifying. Just thinking about it makes me shudder. Who can speak of suffering in a good way?

But suffering does not avoid us. They want to draw close to us.

3. If you ask why do you live your life of faith, the answer will be in various ways.

But honestly, no one lives a life of faith because they want to suffer.

4. The three men in the book of Daniel we are now meditating on: Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah

They are going through difficult hardships that we cannot even imagine. What a purpose

will it be

I. The inevitable hardship has come (19-23).

A. He was thrown into a pit of fire.

1. According to our common sense, if we believe in Jesus, our anger will change and we will be blessed.

It is thought that all things will prosper in people. Otherwise, what would you dare to live a religious life?

Do you feel the need? But what is the reality?

2. The same goes for Daniel and his friends. Their tribulation is due to religious issues.

There is no reason to disobey the king's orders except for religious matters.

3. In the end, they are thrown into the pit of fire because of their faith.

What is it? Isn't this the last course we can go on? We don't collect garbage and set it on fire.

In the end, their condition became garbage.

4. Even now, countless people are thrown into the fire pit.

Even though we have worked hard, evangelized, and donated with our best efforts,

Everything is not going well, wandering around the charter room, or being a last-minute employee at work.

there are a lot of people

5. If I had collected all the money I gave to God so far, I would have bought even a small shop

But no matter where one or two people lament, why doesn't God take care of me?

A? The voice of blaming God for being too indifferent is raging in our ears.

6. We refer to trials as “fiery trials.” And actually Daniel

The three friends were thrown into a ball of fire. It was also a furnace, not an ordinary fire.

People will find it easier to understand the word “furnace” rather than the word “furnace.”

It was seven times hotter than usual.

B. Even fire cannot burn faith.

1. The king tried to break their faith with power. But their faith could be broken by fire.

No. Faith is stronger than fire.

2. Let's be prepared to go to the pit of fire. Only then is true faith.

II. Suffering has a purpose (24-25).

A.Why are you yours?

1. Obviously, the three men were tied tightly and thrown. But what is the matter? Now in the eyes of the king

Aren't you guys walking around in the fire?

2. The king witnessed a surprising fact. He set fire with his own feet.

He went looking for the pit. Unknowingly, he was drawn as if possessed by something.

3. What is a miracle? It is a miracle that humans realize the existence of God.

It is a miracle that a person who has actively denied God realizes the existence of God.

It is a miracle.

B. Sacrifice is the cause of miracles.

1. What would have happened if these three men had not sacrificed?

The opportunity to experience would not have been given. God was trying to convert the king to these three men.

He caused them to go through the tribulation of going into the fire.

2. Let's not think that the tribulation I'm going through right now is unfair. Would it be unfair in my opinion?

I don't know. But God has a reason for that. In other words, God

is glorified through my suffering.

3. If God is glorified through my suffering, what kind of suffering would I have to face?

If we do not have such determination, we have not yet secured the faith to be saved.

C. I should be able to burn my body.

4. There is no glory without sacrifice. Without sacrifice there is no miracle. God wants my sacrifice

put on.

conclusion

1. There is no wonder that suffering continues. It is never wrong.

C. Rather, it is perfectly normal.

2. If suffering continues even though I am not ashamed before God, I will be greatly encouraged.

it would be a pleasure It is proof that God walks with me.

3. God moved the heart of the king through the sacrifice of three people.

He opened his eyes to a mysterious world.

4. Then, is it only those who have suffered? It is never so. We will see you next time.

will be favored for their follow-up.
