Title: Put on your strength/Titus 3:6,7

Contents Get strength / Titus 3:6,7 Rev. Kiho Um

Not long ago, the whole country was buzzing with ‘sea story’.

There are so many characters in this ‘sea story’. People who are looking for quick money, gangsters, people who commit corruption for the sake of storytelling, bribe officials and politicians, and people who have been wounded by the destruction of their homes by speculative gambling such as ‘Story of the Sea’…

There are certainly some saints like us among them. Satan is still working day and night to prevent the expansion of the kingdom of heaven and to make the saints who are the light and salt of the world lose their strength and power. In order for believers to take on the role of light and salt in the face of Satan's numerous attacks and waves of sin, and to live as believers who have an influence on the world, they must gain the strength of the following three things.

1. Be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

“Be ye strengthened in the Lord and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10).

God knew that we could never fight against Satan in our own strength. So, when Jesus ascended to heaven, God did not leave us as orphans, but sent the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, to be by our side and to protect us. Therefore, we must have the power of the Holy Spirit. Then, what kind of work will happen when we receive the power of the Holy Spirit?

First, the history of the exorcism of demons takes place.

In Matthew 12:22 and below, there is a scene where Jesus heals a man who is blind and dumb because of a demon. But the Pharisees among them despised Jesus as the king of demons and ridiculed Him. Then Jesus said that it was only through the power of the Holy Spirit of God that he was able to cast out demons and heal people, and said, “All sins and blasphemy are forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not forgiven” (12:31). Pak told you.

Second, if we receive the power of the Holy Spirit, we will be able to preach the gospel.

In 1 Peter 1:12, Peter speaks of an evangelist as “a preacher of the gospel by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven.” This means that you cannot preach the gospel of Christ without the power of the Holy Spirit. This is because without the power of the Holy Spirit, you cannot cast out Satan who is holding onto your soul. It is because only after binding Satan can we save those who are under Satan.

Finally, if we receive the power of the Holy Spirit, hope will overflow within us.

Paul did not lose hope even when he was imprisoned, in a storm, when he was stoned to death, or when his life was threatened by persecution. Because the power of the Holy Spirit was holding Paul.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in faith, so that you may overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). I prayed to overflow.

Then, how can we receive the power of the Holy Spirit of power?

When we hear the word of God, we can receive the power of the Holy Spirit. Cornelius in Acts 10 was a Gentile who believed in God and was a godly man, but he lacked something. When God, who had decided to save Cornelius and his family, heard the word of the gospel through Peter, the Holy Spirit came upon Cornelius and his family at the same time.

Also, in Acts 8:17, “Then the two apostles laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.” When we receive the prayers of the servants God has raised, we can receive the power of the Holy Spirit.

Finally, when we break our hearts and repent, the Holy Spirit comes upon us. In Acts 2:38, when Peter was preaching, the hearts of those who heard him were pierced, so they repented and received the filling of the Holy Spirit.

Dear saints, Receive the power of the Holy Spirit. In the name of the Lord, I bless you that you will become believers who drive out demons by the power of the Holy Spirit and live a life of boldly witnessing the gospel.

2. Through the blood of Jesus.

Christianity is a blood religion. Because the gospel without the blood of Jesus cannot be said to be the gospel. Because it is not just the blood of the dead, but the blood of the power to give life to the dead. Therefore, we must apply the blood of Jesus from head to toe. Because when we apply the blood of Jesus, we are redeemed from our sins.

God sent Jesus as a ransom for all mankind. Jesus gave his life on the cross to become a ransom. When the blood of Jesus stained the cross, we were set free from Satan. became free.

“In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7). Grace and peace to you through him, who loved us and freed us from our sins by his blood (Rev 1:5).

Also, when we receive the power of the blood of Jesus, we will enjoy reconciliation, that is, peace.

The first man, Adam, disobeyed God's word, and made all mankind become enemies of God. Man tried to draw closer to God, but such efforts eventually resulted in the sin of drawing further and further away from God. Therefore, Jesus became our mediator with God and reconciled us, who were enemies, to God with His own blood.

Jesus said, “He took pleasure in reconciling all things to himself through him, things on earth and things in heaven, having made peace with the blood of his cross” (Colossians 1:20). Do you think, “I still cannot go before God because of my sins”? Do not worry. Do not be afraid to draw closer to God, believing that we who have received Jesus Christ as our Savior have already made peace with God through the blood of His precious blood.

Before the blood of Jesus had yet soaked the cross, only chosen priests could enter the Most Holy. Even the priests had to sanctify their bodies before entering the sanctuary. Because if there was a sin, the priest had to die in the Most Holy. However, through the rain of the blood of Jesus, we have the glory to draw closer to God. “Therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus” (Hebrews 10:19).

Dear saints,

The precious blood of Jesus has delivered us from death to life from death in our sins. The blood of Jesus has redeemed us from our sins, reconciled us to God, and has always given us the power to go to the Holy of Holies of God.

Bearing in mind that the blood of Jesus is the blood of the power that revives our souls and leads to eternal life, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will always enjoy eternal life in the power of the blood of Christ, whether you live or die.

3. Be blessed by God's grace.

Sometimes when we look back on our lives, we surprise ourselves by saying, 'It really is by the grace of God.' At first, it is frustrating, difficult, and I do not understand why these trials come before believers who believe in Jesus, but in the end, when we obey and go out like a saint, we come into contact with God's grace through trials. This same experience can also be confirmed through the Bible.

The background of the age of Noah from Genesis 6 to 9 was an age in which sin was so prevalent that they lamented that God had created man on the earth (Genesis 6:5-7). Therefore, God decided to wash away the sins of this land through water. But Noah found favor with the Lord (Genesis 6:8). God did not forsake Noah in his sins, but showed God's grace to Noah, who obeyed and walked with God, and saved his life.

Also, God gave Abraham and Lot their respective graces.

To Abraham, a son would be born from the womb of Sarah, who had died, and to his nephew Lot, who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah, he gave Lot and his family life-saving grace.

Abraham, who had his spiritual eyes opened because he walked with God, one day met three strangers passing by his house. In an instant, realizing that they were God's angels, Abraham said, "My lord, if I have found favor in you, please do not pass away from your servant" (Genesis 18:3) and ask for God's grace. Therefore, God shows that God is trusting in Abraham by telling Abraham what God is going to do in the future (Abraham will have a son and Sodom and Gomorrah will be destroyed).

In the same way, we are living in the total grace of God.

“That we, having been justified by his grace, might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life (Ti 3:7).” We are 100% sinners who deserve to die. However, by God's exclusive grace, he was called righteous. We didn't do anything at all. Nevertheless, God made us heirs to the kingdom of heaven, and said, “You are my son! Daughter!” are calling you

A large piece of wood floats away in the flowing water, but you can see a small fry going up against the water.

A large piece of wood comes down along the flowing water because it is lifeless, but the fry that have just hatched from the egg, although small, are alive and can move up the water.

No good man in the world can overcome the tide of sin without spiritual life.

However, believers who have received spiritual life in the name of Jesus will gain the power to fight and overcome the turbulence of sin. In the name of the Lord, I ask that you, in the name of the Lord, become the members of the Holy Spirit Church with the power to fight and overcome the tides of sin through the Holy Spirit, the precious blood, and the grace of God.
