Title: Racer of Faith (Hebrews 12:1-3)
Content The racer of faith (Hebrews 12:1-3)
I pray that God's comfort and blessings be with all those who long for the Word today.
Today, I will share with you the words of Hebrews 12:1-3.
1:Therefore, since we have a multitude of witnesses surrounding us like a cloud, putting off every burden and the sin that so easily entangles us, let us run with endurance the race set before us 2: Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who is the joy that is set before him. For his sake he endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God 3: Think of him who endured this rebellion of sinners, so that you do not grow weary and lose heart.
Through today's text, we would like to share grace under the title of 'The Racer of Faith'.
The author of today's text says that faith is like a runner running a race. Thanking God for allowing 2006 to happen, and now it is the last week of 2005.
Dear listeners!
First ; Let's not forget that we are racers.
Second: The goal should be clear.
Third is ; You should not be discouraged by being tired.
It must be remembered that there are many dangers and pitfalls before the racer of faith. Rather than encouraging and comforting cooperation in the Lord's work, sometimes it is accusatory, ridiculed, insulted, and often hurtful. Nehemiah gave up all his honor, power, and wealth to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, but Sanballat the Horn, Tobiah the Ammonite, Geshem the Arabian, etc. are all too well aware of how they mocked and framed me. Even Jesus confesses that when he was in the world, he suffered greatly because of those who blasphemed and refuted him. However, he did not anger or curse those who rebelled against him; he endured to the end and was victorious with patience. The runners feel tired from the hardships that come from outside, and are in danger of discouragement from temptations that arise from within.
Dear fellow co-workers of faith!
Whenever we cause agitation in our faith, we must think of Jesus and win. I wish you a beautiful end of 2005 and more victories in the new year.
