Title: Raise Moses

Moses is said to be the leader of Israel, but through the eyes of faith, he was sent by God and the father of faith (Exodus 1:15-2:22; 11:23-29). Moses-meaning “the one who was rescued from the water”, he is the one who has been saved and the life that God saved. He is a man prepared by God to be used. Until he became a servant of God, three women met. This is the midwife, the princess of Pharaoh, and Jochebed, the mother of faith. These people have already been prepared and provided by God. Moses, the leader of the great nation and leader of faith, is established here.
First, Moses grows in the grace of the Word.
The name Moses means “drowned out of the water”. To say that he was rescued, who had no choice but to die by floating in the water, means that he has received grace. Moses was not saved by man, but by God. No one lives by chance. Salvation and election are the grace of God. Even his name was predestined. Therefore, the name Moses is not the name of an individual, but God's promise of salvation. This is a confession of faith that we have lived in the grace of God's Word and obedience of grace to live according to God's will (1 Corinthians 15:10; Ephesians 2:5). After all, the name Moses is a confession of grace to become a child of God, and it is a baptismal question and answer (John 1:1-14; 2 Tim 3:15; 1 Peter 2:2). Only grace (sola gratia).
Second, Moses only grows in faith.
The great character of Moses is built in faith in God. Moses grew up in faith. "By faith Moses, when Moses was grown up, he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's princess" - a truly important meaning is hidden. Because he grew up in faith, he became a man of faith who chose the path of suffering with God's people rather than the world's powers, wealth, and glory (Hebrews 11:24-26). We confess that we are not children of the flesh, but children of God (spirit). It is not great to gain power by fame. It is a great man to know himself in the knowledge of God. A person who lives according to the right thoughts, the right values, the right judgment, and a person of trustworthy personality are great people. A person who has the courage and determination of faith to live according to the Word, not according to his own comfort and wealth, is a great Christian, a true leader, and a true successor.
Third, Moses grows only in Christ Jesus.
Moses' mother Jochebed planted the spirit of patriotism in Moses' heart to save Israel from an early age. So by faith Moses grew up and refused the title of son of Pharaoh's princess (worldly authority) (verse 24). This was because the reproach received for Christ's sake was regarded as a sacrifice greater than all the treasures of Egypt (the world), because they looked to Christ Jesus, who gave the reward (eternal life) (verse 26). Isn't that all, Moses looked at the iniquity of his people and said, "Forgive the sins of this people, or I pray, blot out my name from your holy book!!" (Exodus 32:32; Psalm 69:28) ) confesses. Truly a great spiritual leader. This is the inheritance of faith that was made through the religious education of his parents who stood upright in faith. Only grace (sola gratia), only faith (sola fide), only Jesus (sola Christos). Hallelujah!!
