Title: Raised with Christ/Colossians

Contents

If you are oppressed and suffered by the world, you lose yourself. We must regain our lost self through Jesus Christ. We, those who believe in Jesus, have been raised from the dead.

“We, who were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)”

(Ephesians 2:5) We are not dead in trespasses, but we have been raised to life in Jesus Christ through the blood of the cross. The living and the dead have different positions and different values. Then, we want to share grace with those who have been raised with Christ while pondering the Word of how to live.

First, we must live by seeking the above.

"Therefore, if ye have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think of the things above, not the things of the earth" (verses 1 and 2). As a result of being too attached to earthly things, we become slaves to material things, or to become slaves to authority and honor, and we lose the most precious thing and live. According to Luke 21:28

"When these things begin to happen, get up and lift up your heads. Your redemption is at hand."

said. We must live with hope in the things of the kingdom of heaven. If we pursue the spiritual things of the kingdom of heaven, God grants us the things we need in our daily life in abundance.

"Seek ye first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

He said, "Heavenly Father, it is an honor for others to study abroad in the United States, and I am grateful to be able to send my two sons to heaven, which is better than studying in the United States." This kind of prayer is truly a prayer that can only be offered by someone who seeks the above.

Second, love must be added above everything.

"Above all these, add love. This is the perfect bond."

(Verse 14) Mercy and mercy, humility and gentleness, patience and forgiveness are also important, but above all of them love is said to be added. Love is an attribute of God. “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8) Love has the power to perfect all things and perfect all things. ① We must love God with all our whole life.

“You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:5) ② You must love your soul.

“Beloved, I pray that all things may go well with you and may you be in good health, as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2). If we love our souls, we cannot help but pray, forgive, and evangelize. ③ You must love the survival of everyone.

"You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 19:19) No one will not spare himself. It is to love your neighbor as you love yourself.

Third, let the peace of Christ rule our hearts.

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. Since you were called in one body to peace, also be thankful” (verse 15). So that the peace of Christ may rule all my work, may my whole life go to the peace of Christ. It means to live so that you can achieve it. In order for the peace of Christ to rule in our hearts, ① we must have confidence and faith in Christ. When a woman who had been suffering from bleeding for 12 years believed that she would be saved just by touching Jesus' cloak, came behind Jesus and touched the edge of his cloak, and the peace and salvation of Christ came to her (Matthew 9:20-22). ② You must love your law.

“Great peace are with those who love Your law, and there will be no obstacles for them.” (Psalm 119:165) Great peace comes when you meditate on the Bible day and night. ③ We must live with the thoughts of the Spirit.

“The mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:6).

Dear saints, You are one who has been raised with Christ. In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that you may become victorious saints by living in hope of the things above, the kingdom of heaven, and adding love above all things, and letting the peace of Christ rule your hearts no matter what difficulties in this world .
