Title: Raising children of saints

Raising children of saints

(2009.05.03.Children's Sunday) (Deuteronomy 6:4~9) (Chapter 218 - With all your heart and sincerity)

May is the month of the family.- I hope that the family of the saints will be a model family above all people in the world.

Today is Children's Sunday.- Please raise the children of the saints as exemplary children more than any other children in the world.

I pray that your families who worship today will be blessed, and that your children will become blessed children.

*Even plants can be seen trying to prosper in their offspring - maples and pines have wings on their seeds to spread their offspring far away. The goblin grass has a mane attached to the seed to spread it far away.

*Animals are more dedicated to their descendants - mother chickens that guard their chicks, mother animals that become ferocious when they give birth - all for the sake of their descendants.

*People who are the masters of all things are truly devoted to their descendants - the story of parents feeding their children when they were poor, stories of parents working hard to pay for their children's education, and even the president of a large group mobilizing gangs for his son There was also a father who went to jail.

These are all stories of parents who devoted themselves to their children.

However, not all love and devotion are right - I see a lot of love and devotion deviant.

Believers must love and devote themselves to their children - with the right love and the right devotion - to raise their children properly.

I hope the members of our church worshiping today will raise their children well.

We pray that all the children of our church members will grow into great people.

1. The nurturer must first become a complete believer.

One of the most cited stories is the story of a crab walking sideways.

It is a story that the mother crab walks sideways - no matter how much she yells at the baby crab to walk forward - the baby crab eventually walks sideways just like the mother crab.

Rather than teaching verbally - it is evidence of better education by example first.

Children who grow up with great parents are much more likely to become great people.

1) Please love God completely (5).

(6:5)-“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your strength” - This is what parents should love before teaching their children.

*Love God with all your heart. *Love God with all your heart.

*Please love God with all your might.

Please believe that God loves us so much that He has chosen us to be His children.

Please believe that Jesus loved us so much that he even died for us to save us.

Remembering that love, we too must love God with all our heart, mind, and strength.

A believer who receives God and loves God is a beautiful believer.

2) Please follow the Word completely.

If you love God, you must listen carefully to the word of God.

With all your heart, with all your mind, with all your might - I hope you set an example of obeying God's Word.

① He tells us to keep the Word in our hearts (6)

(6:6)-“These words that I am commanding you today must be engraved on your heart” - A person's personality changes depending on what he or she has in mind.

What is in your heart?

After listening to this sermon today, I hope that you will take the word of God deeply into your heart.

I hope that you will keep the Word of God in your heart and become people of the Word who live according to the Word.

② He tells you to wear it on your wrist.

(6:8) - “And you shall put it on your wrist as a sign, and put it between your forehead as a sign.”

If you live with the Word of God hanging on your wrist, you will not be able to do bad things with those hands.

I think it would be great if you remember the Ten Commandments one by one on each finger.

1- Only God is God. 2 - Do not worship idols, 3 - Keep God's name holy, 4 - Keep the Lord's Day holy.

5 - Be filial, 6 - Do not murder, 7 - Do not commit adultery, 8 - Do not steal, 9 - Do not lie. 10- Abandon covetousness.

Whenever I look at my fingers, I think that if I remember only the Ten Commandments, I will become a good believer.

③ Put it on the forehead.

The world looks different depending on what color glasses you wear in front of your eyes. The world you see will be beautiful if you live with the word of God attached to your forehead. I hope you see the world with the heart of putting the Word in front of your eyes.

④ Mark the door.

(6:9) - “You shall also write it on the doorpost of your house and on the outside door” - If the word of God is written on the door of your house, you will read the word as you enter and go out and become a godly believer.

If you put the saint's mark on the door, the house will implicitly try to show you a godly life.

*If you have not attached the church plaque, please ask for it after today's worship service - If you bring it and attach it, your life as a member will change.

I pray that your faith will become beautiful believers first by loving God and obeying the Word.

2. You must raise your children as full believers.

Sidewalking mothers cannot train their young to walk upright - but parents with good faith can raise their children to be good believers. So, first, I told him to become a good believer.

Now, don't end up with your own beliefs - nurture your children with that faith.

1) Religion education should be provided everywhere.

(6:7) - “You will teach your children diligently, and you will preach these words when you sit at home and when you go on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Teach them the Bible and teach them faith.

2) Faith education should always be provided.

(6:7) - “You will teach your children diligently, and you will preach these words when you sit at home, when you go on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.” Teach and teach faith.

3) We must create an atmosphere of faith.

Education is also more important than knowledge transfer to create a good environment.

(6:8)-“Tie it to your wrist and make it a sign, and attach it to your forehead as a mark” - When you show your parents who live centered on the Word, your children will also become like their parents and lead their religious lives.

(6:9) - “You shall also write it on the doorpost of your house and on the outside door” - When you leave the door, “Our house is the house of believers” - When entering the house, “I am a believer” - Make it so that you can always feel it do.

Who would want their children to be bad? Everyone wants their children to do well.

However, the priest Eli had good faith, but his son failed because he could not educate his son in the faith.

On the other hand, Hannah's family was not suitable for religious education, but she entrusted her son to the temple to raise him in faith and took good care of him and raised him into a good son.

We pray that all the children of the members of Kyungil Church will become wonderful children, without exception.

To that end, I hope that adults first lead a good life of faith and set an example of faith.

And by raising children in faith, I pray that parents will receive praise and that their children will become families with great blessings.
