Title: Realize the Spiritual Word

Contents

understand the spiritual word

John 6:63-69 ‘63. It is the Spirit that gives life, and the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life... 68. Simon Peter answered, "Lord, you have the words of eternal life; to whom shall we go?" I believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.' - Amen.

When Jesus performed the miracle of feeding 5,000 men with 5 loaves, 2 fish, and 5 jars of 2 fish, the great crowd was astonished and begged to see the Lord and become king of Israel, but the Lord left them. However, a large number of disciples and crowds came by boat again, and this time they listened to the Lord's sermon.

After hearing the long sermon on the so-called Bread of Life, many of the disciples who came for the bread all left. Will you also leave to the remaining 12 disciples? This is the scene where Peter made a wonderful confession when he was speaking. We want to hear the spiritual message under the title of <Recognize the Spiritual Word> through the text.

1. God's Word is Spiritual and Interested

There are many reasons why people leave the church. When we come to worship together and hear the message of God's love and grace, there may be a gap between the message of the preacher and the interest of the listener.

In this chapter 6:60, there is a saying, 'Many of the disciples heard it and said, 'It is difficult for anyone to listen to these words.' And because he came to Jesus with other interests, he criticized the word for being difficult and left.

Text, 6:63 “It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.”

In John 4:24, it is said that God is spirit, and the word of the Lord is spirit and life. God is interested in man's spiritual affairs.

However, it becomes very difficult for many people who come to the church to be interested in the flesh and digest it humanly like the people in John 6 who saw more than the spiritual. Those who are interested in the world's literature or art, abandoning their essence and paying attention to the shell, eventually make a living as a commercial person or art. Likewise in the religious world, there are many people who want to become professionals and instruct people in an appropriate way and fill their stomachs.

2. The Spiritual Word is Revelatory

If you look at God's history of redemption, you will find that people testify of God's will, but the fulfillment of work is done according to God's planned will.

Between the texts, John 6:64-65 ‘But there are some of you who do not believe.’ This is why Jesus knew from the beginning who these are the unbelievers and who will betray him, 65.

And he said to them, "Therefore, I said to you before, No one can come to me except my Father let him come."

What I have said to you before is, Matthew 11:27, ‘All things have been given to me by my Father, Father.

No one knows the Son except the Son, and no one knows the Father except the Son and he who receives a revelation as the Son wishes.”

Salvation is, in fact, believed! We are not saved by believing well, but we are saved by believing (Acts 13:48, 2 Thessalonians 2:13-13). The word of God is working revelatory. All God's works are miraculous and revelatory. Even when we sleep and wake up, if we think quietly, it is God's grace and belongs to a miracle.

Jesus said that He knows both those who will be saved and those who do not believe. He said a very difficult and wonderful word that the decision of salvation must have the revelation of God the Father.

Therefore, when listening to sermons or listening to and reading the Bible on your own,

We need to set our hearts and listen intently to God's voice with reverence and longing as if we were hearing God's voice right now. If you read the spiritual words as if you were reading a novel, you cannot experience anything.

3. The blessing of those who understand the spiritual word

Among the disciples who heard the same message, those who heard the word with a carnal mind all left, and among the disciples who listened to the word as an enemy, looking at Peter's confession, the text, John 6:69, 'Believing that we are the Holy One of God, I know'

Knowing who Jesus is and what the essential meaning of his words is cannot be interpreted by worldly studies or philosophical ideologies. The more you try to fit in realistically, the more difficult it is. The revelatory word of God is spiritual, so we must listen to it as if it were a spiritual word.

In the end, it is the fact that only those who understand the spiritual word of God can obtain salvation. I believe! And not those who cry out loudly will not be saved, but they must understand the will of the Lord.

Matthew 13:16 “But blessed are your eyes for seeing and your ears for hearing”

Only the enlightened stayed with the Lord, and they became splendid by inspiration, starting a marvelous spiritual revolution that changed the world to the ends of Judea and Samaria.

Even in our day, God is calling those who will receive His inspirational message and take the place of God's work. I pray that you will become people of salvation and blessing by being interested in spiritual things and having spiritual ears, listening to the Lord's will quietly and realizing it.
