Title: Really Good Friend
Contents
Bible text: Proverbs 19:1-7 Title: A real good friend
Now is the time to miss the best friends even more.
Almost everyone misses them, so if we try to be good friends with each other,
How much strength will they be to each other? What kind of friend is a really good friend?
1. A friend with a wise lips
Look at verse 1 of the text. “Better is the one who is poor and walks faithfully than the one whose lips are perverse and foolish.” In this verse the writer of Proverbs contrasts the one who walks in integrity with the one who is rebellious and foolish in his lips.
It is also a challenge to take good care of your lips wisely if you want to be a good friend.
Why did God give the law? You gave me a mirror to see your face
It was not given to you to judge others by pointing the mirror at their faces and urging them to look at your own face.
People usually judge people based on their 'self-level' rather than 'law standards'.
Ultimately, judgment is a great sin that violates God's word and sovereignty not to judge.
Give them true hope and comfort. Even though he is poor, he acts faithfully
Be a good friend who understands your friend's pain with wise words.
2. A friend full of gratitude
Look at verses 2-3 in the main text. “A wish without knowledge is not good, and a person with hasty feet goes astray.”
Foolness of a man perverts his way, and in his heart he grumbles against the LORD.”
If you look closely, there are many false wishes among human wishes. with such a false wish
How often do you go down the wrong path and later blame God?
During the Exodus, many great miracles took place through the Ark of the Covenant. It was cold and dark at night above the ark of the covenant.
A pillar of fire was formed, and a pillar of cloud was formed because it was hot and dazzling during the day.
When crossing the Jordan River, as soon as the feet of the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant touched the Jordan River, the water was cut off.
If you put the ark of the covenant in front of it, you will be blessed. However, if the Ark of the Covenant is put ahead in the calculation that it will be blessed,
On the contrary, I receive no more blessings. If you are dedicated, you will be blessed. But if you dedicate yourself to the calculation of being blessed,
On the contrary, they receive no more blessings. Calculations inevitably lead to disappointments and trials.
If you look at 1 Samuel, you think that you can win the war if you bring the ark of the covenant when you fight the Philistines
The Ark of the Covenant was taken to the battlefield. Leading the Ark of the Covenant into a dangerous battlefield for victory
Look at that. What a shameful ups and downs attitude.
Would God fight for them in such a situation?
God is moved and moved by the truth of man, but he cannot follow man's vain judgment.
You don't just dance.
When they saw the Ark of the Covenant, the Israelites shouted in excitement. “Now this war is over! I won!”
Such false ups and downs of conviction make an irresponsible person who forgets his duty.
Did they win the war as they wished? Rather, they were defeated and the ark of the covenant was taken away.
How many people would have been put to the test at that time? Such false ups and downs of conviction
It further spoils work and soul. In the same way, they lost their blessings through their own sins and foolishness and complained to God.
How many people have resentment built into it?
To be a good friend, always put gratitude before resentment. No one finds happiness in the present situation
If you don't, you won't be happy no matter how much you own. Resentment is a terrible disease that ruins the body and mind.
Gratitude, on the other hand, is a more powerful remedy than any drug. When there are many people to be grateful for, the community and home are healthy. Grieving doesn't do anything in life, but gratitude prepares for many blessings beyond our imagination.
make good friends.
3. A true friend to the end
Look at verse 5 of the text. “A false witness will not escape punishment, and a liar will not escape.” If you want to get or be a true friend, refrain from lying.
Truth is the best virtue that strengthens friendships.
Most of the things in the world are recyclable. But people who sleep well can't recycle
Revelation 21:8 - - - All who lie will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone.
This is the second death.”
How did David become a saint? Because of his friend Jonathan who was true to the end.
In fact, Saul's son Jonathan was just as brave as David. His appearance and appearance were also excellent.
Above all, Jonathan had a great eye for recognizing talented people, so he cared for David more than anyone else.
Caring for people is the most valuable virtue a leader needs.
In order to get really good friends, you have to learn to respect and not treat people who seem insignificant.
Jonathan also knew how to praise others. When his father Saul was wary of David and doubted
Jonathan defended David by talking about his strengths. Be a praise expert, not a critic like that. When I look for faults when I look at others, I become unhappy and displeased with others, but I don't care for anyone.
Compliments make me happy and make others warmer too. In this way, Jonathan emphasized ‘loyalty’ rather than ‘profit’.
He was a really good friend.
Jonathan maintained his friendship with David and remained true to the end.
So when his father tried to kill David, he went to David's hiding place and let David escape.
When we parted, we hugged each other and cried. Even if such damage is expected, we will keep the truth and
Be true friends till the end.
4. A friend who likes to cycle
Look at verse 6 of the text. “There are many who ask for favor of a generous person, and they love to give gifts.
Everyone is a friend to him.” If you want a good real friend, you have to train hard to give.
Word. A friend cannot just give and cannot just receive. must be able to communicate with each other
At least be friends. But to be a really good friend among friends, when you give
Try to give as much as possible, and when you receive, try to receive as little as possible.
