Title: Really Happy People (2.28)
Contents
A really happy person!
Psalm 84:11,12
O LORD of hosts, how beautiful your place is!
2I have longed for the courtyards of the LORD's temple, and I have fallen to the point of collapse. I cry out to the living Lord with all my body and all my heart.
O LORD of hosts, my King and my God, by your altar there is a nest for sparrows, and for swallows there is nest for their young.
People who live in a house of 4 weeks are happy. They will praise you forever. (Selah)
5Happy are those who find strength from the Lord. Those who long to go to Zion are happy.
6 As they pass through the Valley of Tears, they turn it into a spring, and the autumn rain fills the well.
7The more I walk towards Jerusalem, the stronger I get. Everyone will meet God in Zion.
O LORD God of armies, hear my prayer. O God of Jacob, listen to me. (Selah)
9 O God, examine our shields. Be gracious to your anointed king.
10 A day in the temple courts of the Lord is happier than a thousand days in another place. I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than in the house of the wicked.
11 Jehovah God is our sun and shield. Jehovah gives us grace and honor. The Lord does not spare and gives the best to those who live honestly.
O LORD of hosts, happy are those who trust in you.
On February 26th, Koreans had a happy day by winning the gold medal following Yuna Kim's fantastic figure skating. It was the Vancouver Olympics where I was excited and moved by the news of the medals of Korean athletes. Look at the faces of the medalists! How happy do you look? But the Bible says that the really happy people are you and me. it's us “Israel, you are happy. Who is like you, the people whom the LORD has saved? He is your shield, your helper, your glorious sword. Your enemies will wither before you, and you will tread on their high places.”
Chang-Woo, you are happy!, ‘Byung-Jun, you are happy’, ‘Mi-Ran-ah, you are happy’. Why are we happy?
Happy are those who live in the house of the Lord!
Look at Psalm 84:4! “Happy are those who live in the house of the Lord. They will praise you forever” (Selah). we are happy Because we are in the house of the Lord. Our young friends and youth are camping now. I am so happy that my father and mother are away from home, eating, sleeping, listening to and praising together. Happy to be in the house of the Lord. Why? Is the Lord with you?
Children are happiest when they are drenched in the love of their father and mother at home. Children who have left home are anxious. You can be kidnapped or taken advantage of by bad people. We feel happy in the house of the Lord. Our home is the church. Are you happy when you come to church? At church, we feel happy while listening to the Word and fellowshipping with our spiritual family.
Happy are those who find strength in the Lord!.
What kind of people will be happy? Look at verse 5!
“Happy are those who find strength from the Lord. Happy are those who long to go to Zion.”
Do you know Nick Vitchic? Nick Vitchic was born without limbs. Nick's mother was a nurse, so she was very careful when having children, but Nick was born severely disabled. Did God make a mistake? no. Nick was once furious as he wondered why God had sent him to a world where only sane people live. But amid all these pains and trials, Nick eventually put his life in God's hands. Then God turned Nick into a miraculous masterpiece. Today, Nick travels the world, inspiring youth and millions of people with his message of hope and faith. Even in the midst of trials like the valley of tears, Nick met God and he is happier than anyone else.
When faced with trials and obstacles, most people think negatively or blame God. We must not live in the past without ever forgetting what happened years ago. Because God has the best plan for my life. Adversity may seem like an obstacle, but God can use adversity as a stepping stone to make us soar.
We were moved and excited to see the athletes who won Olympic gold medals. Seunghoon Lee won the silver medal in the 5,000m and the gold medal in the 10,000m. He dropped out of the national short track race seven months ago. But he did not give up on the Olympics. He challenged speed skating and became the first Asian to win 5,000m silver and 10,000m gold. He is a proud Christian. If Lee Seung-hoon had been drenched in sadness and frustration because of being eliminated from the national team, if he had given up on his Olympic dream, the moment of glory would not have come for him.
Everyone! Sometimes our dreams don't come true, sometimes we are shattered and I feel like I am nothing. We hear this accusation when we make mistakes. you are useless “I ruined it for you”. Aren't you thinking, "I can't study, I'm not pretty, and I'm not good at anything."
We often blame others when things go wrong. The failures and sufferings of the past are only a part of our lives, not the end. Some people blame God. We should not blame God under any circumstances. Because God turns our suffering into a useful tool for us. We are children of the Most High God.
Look at 84:7 of the Easy Bible!
The further you walk towards Jerusalem, the stronger you get. Everyone will meet God in Zion.
God refreshes us as we take each step toward Him. Everyone! Don't be discouraged! Don't be afraid!
Don't blame or impatient you! God exalts you in due time. Believe it! Wait and get ready for that day! Your greatest strength is God.
Happy are those who trust in the Lord!
Who do we turn to in our most difficult moments, when we cannot stand on our own and want to sit down? Some people say, “Believe in yourself.” But we ourselves have our limits.
It is never the end until God says it is the end. God can make our dreams come true at any time.
Look at Psalm 84:6! “Even as they pass through the Valley of Tears, they will make it a place of springs. Early rain will come.”
The difference between a person who trusts God and a person who is negative when they are going through the valley of trials is their attitude. Negative people say, “Why are you giving me such trials? By complaining like this, you blame others. But those who trust in God are different. “I believe that God has a will for me. I believe that God will one day exalt me and use me through this work.”
David confessed that even though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil, because the Lord is with me.
Look at Psalm 84:11,12!
“Jehovah God is our sun and shield. Jehovah gives us grace and honor. The Lord does not spare and gives the best to those who live honestly. O Jehovah of hosts, happy is the one who trusts in you.”
Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. He was buried and then resurrected. Have you had the same experience of being buried? God will give you the joy of resurrection.
