Title: Reasons to Praise God
Reasons to bless God
Psalm 103:1-6
David, the psalmist of today's text, wrote a poem like this: 'Bless the LORD, O my soul; bless the LORD, all that is within me. And do not forget the grace. Also, bless the LORD for his deliverance from destruction, and bless the LORD, who still satisfies my fatigue.'
Why should we praise Jehovah God? How dare we celebrate God. However, we see David thanking and blessing the Lord for delivering him from Egypt, parting the Red Sea, and sending manna and quails in the wilderness with a problem of the past, which is not his problem.
David continues to bless God in the text today, and the reasons David speaks of praising God can be summarized into three main reasons. So it means that God has chosen me. So, to say that God has chosen me is that we have a past, present, and future, but God is always only present. The reason is that he can see with one eye from tens of thousands of years ago to tens of thousands of years later, so there is no past, present, or future in front of him. Because there is only the present before him, it means that he knew all of me before the ages. From the time I was born until I died, my face was reflected in his eyes, and he chose me to use me because he knew me from among many, so he gave me the Holy Spirit to use me, also gave me faith, and gave me the precious power of Jesus. You have given me a name, and you have given me power.
So, the first reason we should give thanks to God is that He chose me, that He knew me and chose me to use me, and gave me what I can work for until today.
Second, we must give thanks to God who rescued us from destruction. We already have to perish for our sins, we have to be broken because we are made of dust, He has already delivered our souls from hell through the countless temptations the devil throws us, He corrected us who were about to fall, He healed us from diseases, He straightened us as we went. So we should praise God for delivering us from destruction.
Third, even now, we should praise God for not leaving a human being like me and walking with him. Jesus, the Son of God, who came to a manger after throwing away the glory of heaven in my heart as dirty as a horse stable, still ascended to heaven and gave thanks for the Holy Spirit coming into my heart that is dirtier than a horse stable.
That is why we should bless you for walking with me like an orphan until the end of the world. Not only that, but in the work of working with us, the Holy Spirit does not leave us and stays with us until the end of the world, and gives us faith like a thread so that many temptations beckon us today, but we must praise the work that made us appear before the Lord today. We should bless God for giving us a holy name so that we may bless Him through our mouths.
What happens when you blush like that? First, Saul was possessed by an evil spirit, and David sang praises while playing his harp, and the evil spirit departed. No matter how dirty and stinky the evil spirits are, they can't stand it in passionate praise and leave. When you bless, the ghosts and evil spirits leave. In that case, the disease will be cured. Today, if we praise passionately, the work of leaving demons will occur. In Acts 16, when Paul and Silas prayed, an earthquake broke out, the prison doors were torn, the iron chains were broken, and Paul and Silas, who had to die because the jailer repented, were released. Blessing God will solve the problem. The history of winning the war takes place. So we sing dead praise, and we should praise God with living praise. And if you praise it, a history of changing the environment takes place. Today, we must fulfill this work in worship.
