In dealing with the Sermon on the Mount, he frequently quoted the phrase ‘Put the Torah on a fence’, an expression related to the Jewish interpretation of the Bible. Now I think you know what that means. The interpretation of the biblical text must be correct. If a fence is built through the correct interpretation of the Bible, within that fence we must complete the Word through obedience and practice. That is the fulfillment of the Torah that Jesus spoke of.
Even that soul may go to ruin due to the fence of wrong interpretation of the Bible. Heresy is one such example. The Unification Church, Jehovah's Witnesses, the Seventh Adventist Church, and the Mormon Church are examples of this, and the Shincheonji and Manmin Central Group, which are currently in trouble, are such examples.
In the case of Jaerock Lee's Manmin Central Group, he makes a really absurd and false interpretation of the Bible. I checked it myself, and according to the data of modern religions that specialize in heresy, it is as follows.
1) Jaerock Lee himself is the beginning and the end, the authority of judgment, and the authority of forgiveness of sins.
2) He is God's own son, and Abraham also comes when he calls. God also comes when he calls.
3) There is no original sin or self-crime, so no matter what kind of sin one commits, it is not a sin. This claim is that sin is in the blood, and because he shed all his blood, there is no original sin or self-crime, and no matter what sin you commit, you are not guilty.
4) The Word is God, and he has fulfilled the Word, that is, he is God.
5) Heaven consists of one thousand, two, and three thousand floors, and it is argued that the level of heaven and a place made of various materials are determined according to the devotion and amount of the offering.
Not long ago, it is said that Genesis is strong, and Adam rode a UFO in the Garden of Eden. And they have data on UFOs. It will be revealed soon. Jaerock Lee lies by saying that he will get better just by praying with the handkerchief he placed his hands on.
It is clear that this is a really absurd and false interpretation of the Bible, but the problem is that many people are immersed in it. This is the spirit of delusion. Once you are deceived, you cannot distinguish between what is truth and what is untruth. Many people are inside the false fence that Jaerock Lee has built. So, within that fence, you live in obedience in your own way, act like a devil, and you end up going down the road to hell. It's really serious.
These heresies have something in common. That is, it asserts a revelation other than the Bible. That he had received a revelation directly from God. It distorts the meaning of the Bible by giving priority to the so-called direct revelation over the Bible. In some cases, they even create their own scriptures. Such is the case with the Unification Church's homily and the Book of Mormon of the Mormon Church, and Shincheonji and the Manmin Central Group also claim direct statistical revelation.
They say that God has given a revelation directly to him, and that he has mastered the 66 books of the Bible, and he makes an absurd false interpretation. Through false interpretations of the Bible, we eventually build a false fence. So, he deceives people with the fence, and through those who enter the fence, he achieves his greed and leads many souls to ruin.
You don't know how important it is to build a fence of the Torah and a correct fence of Bible interpretation. What we must remember and hold on to today is the correct interpretation of the Bible. We should not accept the wrong interpretation of the Bible indiscriminately just because it is spiritual, it exercises power, it prophesies, it is persuasive, or it is interesting.
We must accept only the interpretation of the Bible that correctly interprets the true will of God contained in the Word. That is why in the last days, what we need is called spiritual discernment. Always seek the spiritual discernment that can distinguish and accept the meaning and interpretation of the Word, and the spiritual discernment that can distinguish the spiritual reality. And that spiritual discernment is given through correct interpretation and study of the Word. We must strive for the right life of the Word and prayer without being biased.
The fence of biblical interpretation that we must eventually accept and live in is the fence that Jesus, the fulfiller of the law, put up. We must realize the meaning of the Torah well and fulfill the Torah by obeying and living within the boundaries of the Bible interpretation.
Let's go inside the fence of the Torah that Jesus gave us today. Last week we saw Jesus' teachings about adultery, and he spoke very firmly and strongly about adultery. This is because sex is a gift from God for the family. It is adulthood that couples become one body through sex and ultimately form a whole-person unity, because it is adultery and lewdness that breaks this.
After all, Jesus was saying that the biblical rule against adultery is the sanctity and purity of marriage. That is why he said that we must have a firm and strong determination and attitude, such as plucking out our right eye and cutting off our right hand for the lust that may arise within us.
The same is true of the teaching on divorce that continues today. In verse 31, Jesus quotes Deuteronomy 24:1, which has provisions for divorce. To be precise, it is Deuteronomy 24:1-4.
“If a man takes a wife and brings him, and finds that there is something disgraceful to her, and does not rejoice in her, he shall write a certificate of divorce, give it into his hand, and send her out of his house; and the woman shall go out of his house, and But his second husband also hated him, so he wrote a certificate of divorce and gave it into his hand and sent him out of his house, or when the second husband who took him as his wife died, the woman had already defiled herself, so the ex-husband who sent him out gave him a wife again. You shall not sin against the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, for this is an abomination before the LORD.”
The emphasis of Judaism is to ‘build the fence of the Torah’. However, what was at issue in the interpretation here was ‘a disgrace to him’. If a husband finds shameful things in his wife after getting married, and he is not happy with his wife, he tells him to write a divorce certificate. What is this 'disgraceful thing'?
