Contents
Bible: 1 Corinthians 10:23-33. Sunday sermon on August 19, 2007.
Title: May You Be Saved!
I believe that God will bless you today.
There are three (3) plot lines that form the center of the text.
First, therefore, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, it is all of God's
It is said to do it for glory (verse 31).
Second, both Jews and Greeks, those who stumble in the church
It is not to be done (verse 32). And lastly my benefit
do not ask, but seek the good of many, that they may be saved
This is what it means to do (verse 33).
What do we mean by idolatry? I've heard how bad it is for us.
And I have heard many warnings. But the Apostle Paul today
Again, a concluding lesson is given with reference to the sacrifices to idols.
The problem is that no matter what you do, it is not only for the physical body, but for God.
It means that we have to live by measuring how much glory we have.
It is a message to break away from the instinctive life to fill the stomach.
Everyone! In our Protestant faith, especially in the Presbyterian faith,
Chapter 1, Article 1, of the Westminster Confession of Faith, which forms the basis
The greatest purpose is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
it is said to be.
Everyone! The whole universe, all three and all, praise God.
The mountains and the sea dance and sing to God. In this way, all things are
It reveals the glory of God.
But the lord of all things created in the image of God
There are still people who are like wood stones among humans.
Psalm 19:1-6. The heavens proclaim the glory of God, and the firmament
It shows the work of his hands.
2) Day speaks to day, and night gives knowledge to night.
3) There is no language and no sound
4) His voice goes through all the earth, and his word reaches the ends of the world.
God has pitched a tent in heaven for the sun.
5) The sun is like the bridegroom coming out of his room, like a merchant who rejoices in running his way.
6) It comes from one end of the sky and travels to the other end of the sky.
There is no one hiding from its warmth.
Everyone! I visited the Jambuang Kita So Orthodox Church a few days ago.
In the front yard of the church, the primrose flowers were in full bloom.
White flowers, colorful flowers with red lines, yellow flowers,
And again, there were flowers that only gave off a deep red color.
Jeddah was emitting lights so intense that it was blinding.
Maybe it's not dazzling, but because I'm shy,
Maybe I didn't see it.
On the same stem and mouth, on the same soil, on the same climate,
How can the things that grew up in the rain in an environment so colorful,
Beautifully, beautifully, and one by one, each intense, dark light
Are they spouting differently?
May God do so to each of those little seeds
Did you put the mysterious program, chip one by one? Stop, I'm in that mystery
I got excited.
Because of the mystery of God and the mystery of his five
I couldn't help but admire it. So, the language is absent and audible
There is no sound, but his voice goes through all the earth, and his words are spoken throughout the earth today
It is reaching the world.
Therefore, such beings that we humans are not even the beasts of midday
it shouldn't be. To God, beings like wood and stone
it shouldn't be.
Today's second lesson is for Jews and Greeks alike,
Don't be yourself. Between our Koreans (comrades) and outside the church
Moreover, it is a message not to be a wanderer in the church or at all.
It is a message not to be a stumbling block in missionary work and not to be a hindrance.
As always, there are people with strange logic and arguments.
Ultimately, these are things that obscure the glory of God.
There is an old saying that a square stone is right. It shouldn't stick out too much.
Don't be a bystander for something everyone loves.
It should be helpful and helpful in everything.
Everyone! Who are our neighbors? Whether outside the church or within the church, they
They are all our compatriots, brothers and sisters. So they are wrong
Everything we do is wrong.
So there are some things we need to pay attention to.
Especially in the Korean community and in the church, there is a sense of disgust towards others.
Is there nothing to give? Is there anything to be blamed for?
You should always take a look.
In particular, God's work is not always done alone, but must be done together.
You cannot achieve harmony alone. A chord is a chord of various colors.
This is possible only when there is harmony.
When the church respects, respects and values each other in this way
True fellowship of saints takes place. This is the community of love.
This is the perfect body of Jesus Christ.
Then, finally, I did not seek my own, but the benefit of many.
It says, ?쏬et them be saved.??Let us be saved.
This sermon is the title of today's sermon and also the conclusion of today's sermon.
Everyone! The ultimate purpose of us believers is God's
It's for glory. In other words, to make the church beautiful
and thus make everyone
It is to obtain salvation.
It is the hard work of the evangelist that we can help one soul to be saved.
Sweat is desperately needed. This is like the hard work of a local farmer.
Farmers do painful labor with their fingertips every day.
To harvest fruit in the fall, the farmer first cultivates the soil.
And sow the seeds. Water it to make it grow.
It grows, flowers, and bears fruit.
So the farmer steams it every time. Pull out the grass.
During the rainy season, the water is opened to prevent water damage. to catch insects
They also use pesticides.
Not only that. Harvesting in the fall is even more difficult.
Rice is harvested and threshed. And it is polished in a rice mill.
Perhaps now these processes are all mechanized and the speed is slowing down.
I know it's going very fast.
Even so, the grains that can be served on the table must go through all the processes.
and it becomes a grain of rice. In this way, even to achieve the salvation of one soul,
The church is to pour out all of its passion.
Everyone! we need to know First of all, farmers need
It is diligence. It does not cover the morning and the night. rising and setting sun
are very interested in It is very sensitive to seasonal changes.
This is a passage that teaches us what the attitude of the evangelist should be.
A lazy farmer does not get a good harvest. Last night's zeal for meat
A fisherman who does not catch does not have the joy of being full at dawn.
Everyone! Do not be any stumbling block in the church.
All the souls that are growing in the bed with hard work
I wish you all the best in your cooperation to reach salvation.
Isaiah 52:7. proclaiming the good news
Bringing good news, proclaiming salvation, to Zion
The foot of the one who says, Your God reigns,
how beautiful <Amen>.
