Title: Receive the Perception of the Holy Spirit
Bible: Galatians 5:16-18
Title: Receive the Perception of the Holy Spirit
Gal 5:16-18 ‘16. I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
The core of the gospel, that we believe in the atonement of Jesus and receive the atonement for salvation, is only religious information that can be readily recognized by those who have ears to hear. It is not a simple story that this applies to individuals. It is the Holy Spirit that confirms that we believe and receive salvation. Romans 8:2 “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
1. The revelation of the Holy Spirit is first visible in the Bible
To become a saint, you must first hear the gospel and gain faith. The gospel is the Bible that has already been revealed by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21), and the center of the Bible is eternal life and salvation through Jesus Christ (John 20:31). Therefore, if you receive the influence of the Holy Spirit and gain understanding, you will naturally acquire the fundamentals and understanding of life from the Bible.
John 16:13 “...When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth...”
1 Corinthians 2:13 “We speak these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but by the Holy Spirit…”
Text, Galatians 5:18 “If you are led by the Holy Spirit, you will not be under the law.”
Under the law, after all, is religious, logical, and human. The knowledge of the Bible itself or the interpretation of the gospel itself is not faith, but the information of the Bible is fully understood by the influence of the Holy Spirit.
2. Saints must continue to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit
The position on the absolute authority of the Bible cannot be changed for the underlying reasons of its source. The problem is that biblical revelation is of no value if it is not applied effectively and inspirationally. After being regenerated by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3-), the saints want to continue to be with you (John 14:16) to give understanding and lead in the history of life.
1) Worship must also come in the Holy Spirit and be offered in the Holy Spirit (John 4:24)
2) Missionaries by the Holy Spirit (Acts 16:6 ‘The Holy Spirit prevented them from preaching the word in Asia, so they went to Phrygia and Galatia’)
3) Service through the Spirit (Philippians 3:3 ‘Serving through the Spirit of God…’)
4) Prayer in the Spirit (Romans 8:26, “In the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know what to pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”)
Ephesians 6:18 “With all prayers and supplications, always praying in the Holy Spirit…”
I have the name of a saint, I trust Jesus and I want to live the life of Jesus, but I know that it is not going well.
The text, Galatians 5:16, “I tell you, walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh” means to be guided by the Spirit because you are following the nature of the flesh. So what should I do? Simple answer. We must earnestly seek the influence of the Holy Spirit.
Luke 11:13 “If you, though evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”
Even the apostles prayed and were filled with the Holy Spirit, all the heroes of faith in Christian history were people of prayer, and all those who testify were not speaking of their own personalities, but of the things that were revealed by the influence of the Holy Spirit. They are the same people who prayed because they wanted to live as people of the Holy Spirit, but they were very earnest. I pray that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit through prayer.
