Title: Receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit
Bible: 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

At a certain church, Deacon Kim did not have the courage to live after failing in business. One day he came into the house with sagging shoulders and blaming God. He came with a small package in his hand. As she entered the front door, her little daughter came out and greeted her.
‘Dad, what is that?’
‘Yeah, I’ll give it to you.
‘Mom is on the second floor. Dad, I'll bring it to Mom. Give me.'
'No, you're sitting in a wheelchair, how did you give it to your mom on the second floor?'
'Does not matter. I can carry my luggage and Dad can hold me, right?’
Aha! That's it! Butler Kim heard the daughter's voice and realized something surprising. Yes, what should I be afraid of when God carries me? From that moment on, he entrusted everything to God, believed and went out to recover, and he lived a victorious life.
I can't, but God is with me. If we walk, we may fail, but if we are filled with the Holy Spirit and led by the Holy Spirit, we can surely win. Hallelujah!
Reason for giving the Holy Spirit
Why are you giving that gift?
1) Beneficially-
- “The manifestation of the Holy Spirit to each one is for profit.”
To whom does receiving the Holy Spirit benefit? It is beneficial to me. Study and give it to me. Receive the Holy Spirit and receive the Holy Spirit so that both men and women may benefit themselves. Please receive the Holy Spirit.
Not only that, but it also benefits others. Study and be a man! When you receive the Holy Spirit, you make others useful. In other words, the reason the Holy Spirit is given is to benefit me and others.
And in Ephesians three more things are mentioned.
“This is to equip the saints for the work of service, for the building up of the body of Christ.
2) Perfecting the saints
-Therefore, it is only when we receive the Holy Spirit that we can live a perfect life of faith.
Peter and the 12 disciples also walked with Jesus for three years, but before receiving the Holy Spirit, they were a heavenly blessing, but after receiving the Holy Spirit, they were able to fulfill their roles as complete disciples. If you do not receive the Holy Spirit and live your life of faith, you will always fall and fall. It is a heavenly axis. I can't. I live with annoyance. We live with complaints and dissatisfaction. But after receiving the Holy Spirit, we are happy. I want to come to church. I want to meet the saints. Church is better than my house. -Confession of a certain saint- I wish I could live in a church.
3) Do the work of service
- You must receive the power of the Holy Spirit to do church service. People who receive the Holy Spirit and serve are a pleasure to work with. But those who have not received the Holy Spirit always make excuses. prior appointment. body aches There is no time. They only make excuses not to serve.
4) To build up the body of Christ.
- The body of Christ is the church. The church is the body of Jesus, and just as the body has many members, you must receive gifts through the Holy Spirit to know what kind of members you will build up the body of Christ with. The word about the members continues in verse 12 and below. It is up to God to decide what kind of gift He will hold. It is to give that person the most appropriate gift to do God's work.
So, what are the gifts of the Holy Spirit? I pray that you will take a look, receive greater grace, receive gifts, and live a life of faith filled with the Holy Spirit.
gift through the Holy Spirit
There are nine types of gifts that appear in today's text.
1. Words of Wisdom.
This is not about human wisdom. It speaks of the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 2: Chapter speaks of the wisdom given through the rain and the Holy Spirit.
“But we speak wisdom among those who are perfect, not the wisdom of this world, nor the wisdom of rulers that will perish from this world, but the wisdom of God that is in secret, which has been hidden by God. ordained before the ages for glory.”
In conclusion, this refers to the wisdom of realizing God's plan to save mankind through the cross of Jesus Christ. Therefore, although we do not know or understand it through any science in this world, He has given us the wisdom to understand it when we receive the Holy Spirit.
So, in Acts 6, this is the reason why when the early church selected the seven deacons, they chose those who were full of the Holy Spirit and full of wisdom.
Even in today's churches, when we select workers, we are selecting people who are full of the Holy Spirit and full of wisdom. In particular, we need to raise up people who have received the gift of wisdom. Only then will the church function wisely.
You must speak wisely.
In a country a king had a dream. Suddenly all of his teeth fell out. So I called the most famous dream interpreter in the country and told me to interpret it.
The first one comes, O king! Sorry, but this is a nightmare. The king's family is all dead. The king was very offended. And behead this guy right now.
God asked. After all, isn't that the same interpretation? That's right. But not what you say. How you say it matters.
When you receive the Holy Spirit, God gives you the gift of wisdom.
In Matthew 10, when Jesus was sending his disciples to evangelism training, he was worried that it would be like sending sheep among wolves. Sirini
“It is not you who speak. It is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.”
Peter proves this amazing fact. After Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit and healed the lame, he preached to many people in the temple. At this time, about 5,000 people listened to Peter's sermon and decided to believe. But the priests, the Sadducees, and the temple officials arrest Peter and John and put them in prison.
According to Acts 4, Peter and John are brought the next day, and the people who are gathering there are great. These were the chief priests, Annas and Caiaphas, who were responsible for slaughtering Jesus. Alexander and all the members of the high priests gathered, the elders, the scribes, and the officials all gathered to question Peter.
“By what authority and by whose name did you do these things?” Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, replies:
“You and all the people of Israel know. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified and whom God raised from the dead, this man is standing before you in good health.”
“This Jesus is the stone rejected by your builders, and has become the headstone of the family.” We can be saved by no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to us by which we can be saved.”
I speak in a nutshell. So the high priests are at a loss for words. And I was surprised to learn that he was originally an ignorant person with no academic knowledge. So I called them and told them not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus from now on. Peter and John
“Peter and John answered and said, Judge whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God. We cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.”
This is the gift of wisdom from the Holy Spirit.
Hallelujah! Dear saints, I hope you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and receive the gift.
All these gifts were given by one Holy Spirit to each person according to their need.
“All these things are done by the same Spirit, distributing to each one according to his will.”
Therefore, dear saints!
I pray that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit, receive gifts, gain wisdom, glorify God, and become a worker who will be greatly used to revive the body of the Lord.
