Title: Recognized believer (James 1:12)
Contents
Today, I would like to give a message under the title of a believer who is recognized through the words recorded in James 1:12. I hope that it will be a time of grace for each other.
Text: James 1:12 says, "Blessed is the one who endures temptation, for after being approved by this, he has received the crown of life that the Lord promised to those who love him."
Just as there are good days and bad days in life, there are times when you experiment with your life of faith. In that case, if you hold on to God's promises with the patience of faith and endure trials, you will receive a crown as God acknowledges you are right.
Therefore, as we go through life, we must be able to be recognized as right by our conscience, to be approved by our closest family members, to go out and be accepted by higher people, and to be recognized as right by God.
A person who is not recognized in front of people or God, no matter how right he or she goes around the world, will eventually lead to bad results.
Just as a good tree can be known by its fruit, a believer who has been approved by God the Father can be known by seeing that it bears beautiful fruit.
1. Those who are not recognized as right by God
1) Cain is not recognized as being right.
Adam's eldest son, Cain, was not recognized as right by God the Father because he offered a sacrifice without the blood of a sin offering.
※ A priest without atonement (vain heart, envy, jealousy, hatred, murder)
You have to be careful. When you worship or pray to God, you must not offer it with a heart like Cain.
2) A Pharisee is a person who is not recognized as right.
The word Pharisee means to be set apart before God or before people, wear hats and clothes to distinguish them from ordinary people, write Bible verses on the hem of their clothes, fast twice a week, earn tithes, and present themselves as not extorting others Those who like to brag get it.
※However, the Lord did not recognize the Pharisees.
He always prayed that he did well and ate the rest, so he did not receive an answer to his prayers.
3) Those who received one talent are not recognized as being right.
The Lord once preached by analogy with talents. When a man went to a distant country, he called his servants and gave each person 5 talents, 2 talents, and 1 talent. After a while, when he came back and counted them, he received the 5 talents and the 2 talents. The one who received it was praised by giving it twice as much, but the one who had one talent played with the one talent as it was.
※I also lead meetings abroad for about a month, and when I come to church, I wonder if there are any members who are as loyal as those who received 5 talents. You can see the saints in
2. Believers recognized as right by God
1) Nathanael is a person who has been acknowledged as right.
In John 1:47 and below, Jesus commended the coming Nathanael, saying, "He is a true Israelite, and there is no deceit in your heart," so Nathanael was definitely recognized by the Lord.
2) Cornello is a person who is recognized as right
It is recorded in Acts 10 that God sent an angel to Cornello who was praying, saying that the prayer you asked for and the alms you performed had reached heaven and was remembered. can.
3) Abraham is a man who has been acknowledged as right.
According to the words recorded in Genesis 22, on Mount Moriah, God acknowledged that Abraham killed his only son Isaac and passed the test that he was a field as a sacrifice, and received the blessing of becoming the father of faith.
※It doesn't matter that you have been to your church for a long time and received a decent job, it is more important whether you are a believer recognized by the Lord or not.
I sometimes stay up all night to pray for the members of the church. While praying for one family or one family, some families feel reassured and proud, while others are disappointing. It hurts my heart and makes me sad when I think of a family that can't grow.
At that time, even if I am sad, I pray that the Lord should not be sad.
Conclusion: I hope that you will become saints who will try to be recognized as right by the Lord while reflecting on yourself.
