One day, a newlywed couple moved into the house next door to a young couple. But in the morning, the new-in-law washed the laundry and hung it in the yard, but when the wife saw that the stains were still there. I thought, 'Even a new-in-law can't even do laundry properly!' But the next morning as well as the next day, if you just wash it and hang it up, there is a strange stain. So the wife says to her husband, “No, the woman next door must have gotten married without even learning how to do laundry! I didn't do that when I was a new wife, but my husband is very pitiful. You are lucky to have met a woman like me.” Yes. But the next morning something amazing happened. It's the shiny thing on the laundry hanging next door. The wife is startled and chases after her husband, saying, “Honey, it’s a strange thing. The laundry next door has been cleaned, and the new wife must have heard of us!” Then the husband smiled pitifully and said, “We cleaned the glass on our balcony!” .
Today's Bible text is talking about what we want to be, and above all else, we need an attitude to listen to God's word. In 2 Timothy 2:15, today's text says, "Rightly handle the word of truth." Everyone, the first thing to do is to listen to the Word. I hope you don't miss all the worship services this year. At least the Sunday worship service, the Sunday worship service, and the three-day prayer meeting must be attended. In particular, we ask that the officers keep as much of these official worship services as possible. Faith can grow only by listening to the Word through worship. It is through the Word that you can become a mature faith.
A modern spiritualist named [Glann Hinson] says there are two reasons why people today don't listen closely to God's voice.
The first is that it is too busy. Being busy is a good thing. But you have to be rightfully busy. Be honest and genuinely busy. I'm so absorbed in my work and so engrossed in performanceism that I don't even think about what success is. There is no meaning or depth to success, just running. It's not about thinking and running, it's about running and thinking. I work hard and I'm busy, but I don't know why I'm busy, and I don't even have time to think about the consequences of this busyness. So, we cannot hear the voice of God.
A psychologist wrote a book called Archibald Hart. Just as people have habits of action, so do their minds. It is a story that the habits of the mind of those who think and accept everything positively and those who think and accept everything negatively are clear. It soon manifests itself in pride and humility. Words make me humble. So it makes me grateful. At the same time, the voice of God is heard in the heart. There is no obedience because we do not listen to the Word with our hearts. A sermon is not a lecture on philosophy, nor is it an interpretation of the Bible. Preaching is God's word to understand and God's command to practice. Knowing this is the wisdom to correctly discern the word of truth.
It is said that an unknown poem is engraved on an old wall in Germany. The poem is titled as follows:
You call me Lord, and you do not follow me/ You call me light and you do not look up to me/ You call me the way and do not walk/ You call me life and do not depend on it/ You call me prudence and learn and/ you call me clean and don't love me/ you call me rich and you don't ask me/ you call me ugly and you don't come/ you call me honorable and you don't serve me/ you call me strong I don't respect you/ you justify me, and you don't fear me/ so when you rebuke you, don't blame me.
If you do not listen, there is no action, and if you hear it, you must put into practice. After all, a worker who is approved by God is a person who always listens to God's voice through the Word and can become a recognized worker when he acts according to the Word.
There was an event to read the Bible through the church. One person is so boring that he skips and reads one verse at a time. And I decide to do what the Word tells me to do. Just open it anywhere."Jesus is going"-"Yes, I'll stop reading today and I'll go too" The first day I just went home. On the second day, I also opened the Bible anywhere. "Jesus was sleeping"-"I must sleep too" and slept all day. Then, on the third day, in the morning, when I opened the Bible and looked it up, I found Matthew 27:5. "Judas threw the silver into the sanctuary, and went back and hung himself." Wanting to read more, I opened the Bible again, and the last part of Luke 10:37 caught my eye. "Go and do likewise." The person who got more troubled opened the Bible again. This is the last part of John 13:27. “Do quickly what you are doing.” This man repented of his negligence. The Word of God does not exist for my rationalization at that time. From the beginning to the end, the word that is heard every time we worship is the voice of God. Please obey the word of truth.
There is a saying. Birds are said to live 9 days without food. It is said that a dog can live 20 days without food. It is said that turtles can live up to 500 days without eating. It refers to a person who tries to live without eating the word, the food of the spirit, every day. There is no desire for the Word. They don't even try to eat with enlightenment. As a result, there is no grace. This is a turtle believer.

Political issues are important to us as well as economic issues. Education or society in general is a big concern. However, the problem is that problems like these cannot give us an ultimate answer. Politics, economics, and philosophy cannot fill the void in our hearts. In the end, you have to stand before the Word. I hope that you will be filled with the wisdom to correctly discern the words of this truth, and live a life of no shame as a recognized worker.
