Title: Reconcile and Reconcile
Reconcile and be reconciled to each other
Text: Romans 5: 1-11
The family of Craftsman Jang has been handed down for nine generations, living in the same house and having hundreds of members. However, the family was always peaceful and prosperous, and rumors of it even reached the ears of Emperor Gojong of the Tang Dynasty. King Gojong thought it was a miracle, and he went to the house and gave him the lead role. At that time, King Gojong asked Craftsman Jang how to live peacefully without quarreling for nine generations. So Jang Craftsman brought paper and a brush, and filled it with a hundred or so characters of the enduring seal (忍). After finishing it, he said:
"Many people's lack of harmony in their lives stems from the fact that the clothes and food of the adults are not even and the manners of the young people are wrong. We have made the constitution of our family to be patient only. Everyone understands and tolerates each other, so naturally there is no talk and harmony. will do it."
The world of Eden was a beautiful and peaceful place, but an evil devil invaded and planted hatred and discord in people. So, the world of peace has changed into the world of war, the world of order into the world of disorder, and the world of harmony into the world of disharmony. To change this world, Jesus came and died as a propitiation sacrifice on the cross. (Ephesians 2:16, Col 1:20, 1 John 4:10) And he said that the peacemaker is the Son of God (Matthew 5:9). You said importance. Then why should we be reconciled?
First, because God is pleased.
Psalm 133 says, “How beautiful it is for brothers to dwell together in unity, like the precious oil on the head, flowing down on the beard of Aaron, down to the collar of his robe, like the dew of Hermon on the mountains of Zion.” There is nothing more precious and beautiful than the reconciliation between brothers and sisters. Christianity is a religion of reconciliation. It's like a parent's joy when they see their children being harmonious and having fun. Jesus did not come to this world only to give good words. You didn't come to show me the example of a beautiful life. He did not come to perform only amazing miracles. He came to bring reconciliation between us and God, who became enemies through sin. That is why we have been reconciled to God through the death of Jesus on the cross. So, this cross has a symbolic meaning that speaks of the relationship between God and us, and the relationship between neighbor and neighbor.
Second, our worship is to be acceptable to God. Matthew 5:23 says, “Therefore, if, while offering your gift on the altar, you remember something against your brother, leave your gift in front of you and go first and be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” God does not accept worship offered without reconciliation with brothers.
“Be most precious in love because of his work, and be at peace among yourselves” (1 Thessalonians 5:13)
Third, because Heaven is a peaceful country. Romans 14:17-19 says, 'The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit...Therefore, we strive for the work of peace and the edification of one another'. The kingdom of God is a world of peace, joy, and righteousness. Today we go to heaven when we leave this earth. It is a world of peace without hatred and fighting.
Fourth, reconciliation is our responsibility, because God uses reconciliators as workers in heaven.
