Title: Reconcile with Your Parents

reconcile with your parents

2006-05-07

I. background of the text

II. honor your parents

B. Commandment with promise: This commandment is the first commandment with promise not found in any other commandment. The blessings of longevity were truly great in those days when many diseases and wars were raging. The blessing of longevity and wealth on this earth, especially with this commandment, is promised so that we can understand the heart of God contained in this commandment.

. grace through wounds

A. Love greater than hurt: Because he is someone we love and respect, we do not honor our parents, but because of the great love of God who gave everything for us. We are able to do this because His great love, which cannot be received in this world, has built us up from brokenness, and His great grace, which no one can give, has paid for all our wounds. It was a difficult time for us, but didn't we use it as a stepping stone to enter the world of God's grace? Have we not also learned the futility of a world without God and that we will be safe because of the Lord? In God's providence, we have encountered God's love that is greater than our wounds, so we must release our parents from our hearts with that love, love and respect them. A heart that does not love is a heart that hates, and a heart that hates is a heart that has not been reconciled to the God who has guided her so far. The best gift a parent can give to knowledge is to be alive. The fact that our parents are alive gives us joy and gratitude, and this will be the beginning of respect for our parents.

B. The Plan of Grace: God's grace does not come without a plan. His plan for giving us grace will begin with our calling to the family. He gave grace to embrace a broken family and to become a rotting grain of wheat and realize the shape of the family that each of us had dreamed of. When you first met the Lord, didn't you confess that you were grateful for the love that redeemed a useless sinner like me and that you would give your life to the Lord from now on? Therefore, to not face a sacrifice honestly when it is necessary is turning against God. Forgive and love our parents to please the Lord. Now, let's become a person who brings a ray of light to a dark home, burn away all the wounds of the past with God's love, and break down and sacrifice ourselves so that the whole family can live in the light.
