Title: Redemption (Ephesians 1:7-10)
For teenagers these days, whether a face is big or small is a very serious issue. Because these days, people think that having a small face is a good thing. But when they hear this, the grown-ups are absurd. It's scolding me for worrying about something special. And finally, one word. It's called study. For adults, what is serious is whether they live well or not, whether they stand above others or serve as slaves under others is more serious. But the Bible considers it trivial. Just as adults take the troubles of children as trivial and trivial, the Bible treats the issue of whether we humans can eat or not eat what we consider serious as a trivial matter. Because the Bible deals with too much. It is said that it is very pitiful for us to live in bondage.
Then, what does the Bible consider to be so important? It is said to have been blessed with abundant grace. What is such abundant grace? What we desire in abundance is of the world. There is an abundance that serves to live a better life and a better life. But that's not it. The abundance of grace is the forgiveness of sins. This is because, in other words, the forgiveness of sins is dealing with this important thing of redemption. Perhaps these words will sound full to us. You might think that this is the voice of people who are full and have nothing to do. But this is so important that it is more important than the world. This is because the forgiveness of sins does not end with words alone, but because there are people who shed blood because of this. It is that the only begotten Son of God died with the blood of this work of forgiveness of sins for the great work of redemption.
It was the last thing God could do. It is the last drop of blood shed as a gift after giving everything. Other than that, nothing else. But we live by risking our lives on trivial things for other things. I was risking my life for material things, honor, and power that had nothing to do with eternal life, and my pride. How ignorant of a child would God see? We are asking for healing and some family problems, not the restraints. Anything other than blood? This is what our faith looks like. There is no use other than the blood of Jesus to enter the kingdom of God. However, even after receiving this blood and being covered in this blood, we keep reaching out our hands because we still have regrets in the world, so we don't know how good the blood of Jesus is.
So, why doesn't he know that this blood of Jesus is good? Even after receiving this abundant grace, do we care about other things and risk our lives for them? It is because they do not know what sin is. Sin is separation from relationship with God. But we do not know how terrible this sin is. This sin is like a fishing rod that drags me to hell. Being like a swamp is a sin. Without realizing it, I will drag you into hell. The problem is that we do not know how precious the blood we have received because we do not know how deadly, how painful, and how terrifying this sin is. The problem lies right here. Too easily we take this problem of sin. The great event that showed how evil and terrifying sin is is the case of the cross. Even Jesus, the Son of God, cried out in pain, Father, Father, why have you forsaken me? It is sin that is so tragic that even God who cries out must forsake his son who atoned for sin. Others seem trivial to those who know that such a sin is enormous.
Only the blood that solves this problem of sin is the only way to be interested in everything. The problem with the modern church here is that the modern church does not point out sin. God is sweetly tempting us to say that He is love. It's not wrong. However, the first priority of the gospel is to enter into the problem of sin, not love. That is why the cross is the gospel for those who are suffering and suffering because of their sin problem, and the blood comes to him with a truly tremendous grace. However, because the modern church has made them pay attention to the things of this earth, they neglect the problem of sin and keep clinging to how much they can gain from this world. So, how is God leading God? It leads to failure. Why? It is because they know how sinful and wicked they are in their own failures and despair. Through various things in family life or work life, God is to reveal how selfish and evil human beings are in the form of evil sinners, wearing sheep's clothing.
It's about letting you go through a lot of things and getting to know them. By doing so, is the cross worth it? It is to let you know how precious it is and how amazing it is. But we are praying so that we do not fail and we are worshiping so that we do not fail. This is our reality. The problem is, don't try to fail on purpose. Know that I am now a failure. I am a person who cares about this earth. I say I serve God, but I am still trying to succeed in this world. I am a failure. you should know Success in Christ is no different. You must know that believing in Jesus and going to heaven is success. Only when we discover ourselves and live as successful people can we begin to give thanks and praise. If you are sitting here listening to the word of heaven and giving thanks while listening to the word of heaven, know that you are more successful than those who say you have succeeded like honeysuckle.
