Title: Redemption Obtained and Salvation Obtained
Contents
Redemption is the forgiveness of sins common to all peoples under the heavens through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, who was sent as a man to atone for the sins of all people under God according to the righteousness of God.
Therefore, concerning redemption, John the Baptist testified, “The next day John saw Jesus coming to him and said, ‘Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world’ (John 1:29). The apostle Paul testified, “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (Romans 3:26) ’ (1 John 2:2), the apostle John also testified.
Redemption is God's blessing, given equally to all people under the world who have committed sins. That is, “And through your offspring all the peoples of the world will be blessed, because you have obeyed my word” (Genesis 22:18).
For this reason, the Bible testifies, “In Christ we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7), and again, “in the Son we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.” (Col 1:14) He testified of the redemption obtained.
Redemption is God's righteousness in Christ Jesus, and salvation is God's eternal love in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, redemption has already been obtained, and salvation is to come. Therefore, in the text of the truth, He testified, “For by hope we have been saved, and the hope we see is not hope. “Therefore, my beloved, always obey, not only in my presence, but even more now in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).
As it is written, “In the same way Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, and will appear a second time, free of sin, for salvation to those who are waiting for him” (Hebrews 9:28). will be
That is why the Bible says about salvation, “Brothers whom the Lord loves, we ought always to give thanks to God for you, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Holy Spirit and faith in the truth. He has called you through the gospel so that you may receive the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14).
Faith in God's promise is the same as having already obtained the promise, so the Bible testifies that the salvation to be obtained is already salvation through faith. That is, as he testified, “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).
Because there is no past, present, and future in faith in God. As the Lord Jesus said, “Therefore, I say to you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours to you” (Mark 11:24). was strengthened in the world and glorified God, and was convinced that he was also able to accomplish what he promised, therefore it was counted as righteousness to him” (Romans 4:20-22). We are sure that this will be accomplished until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6), so we all respond with “Amen” in faith.
Therefore, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen, which the forefathers obtained evidence from” (Hebrews 11:1-2).
For this reason, the Bible speaks of the redemption obtained and the salvation to be obtained: “In the same way, Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, and will appear a second time, not to mention sin, to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him” (Hebrews 9: 28) is clearly distinguished.
In other words, the redemption through Jesus Christ, the forgiveness of sins, is obtained by hearing and believing, and salvation, the glory of Christ Jesus, is obtained through the faith working through love. This is why the Bible testifies, “In the gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed, from faith to faith, as it is written, The righteous will live by faith” (Romans 1:17). Amen, thank you Lord.
