Psalm 22
This psalm is a song about David's own suffering and victory.
At the same time, a poem that prophesied the sufferings and triumphs of the coming Messiah.
1. Lament of the Forsaken (1-8)
This poem is one of Jesus' hypothetical seven words, "My God, my God, why
Will you forsake me?"
The human figure that God has left behind depicts the reality of “I” first.
It speaks of the most tragic end of mankind.
I cry day and night, but I do not get an answer (2)
All dignity as a human being is trampled underfoot.(6)
I am being ridiculed and humiliated by people (7,8)
This is the figure of Jesus before the cross,
Jesus was there to save us from the most tragic end of mankind.
You went low.
2. Asking for God's Help (9-21)
① It is God who brought me out of the womb, help me (9-11)
He was born in God's providence and protection from birth, and God keeps
I cry out, confident that it will be given.
② Appeal to one's pain (12-18)
12-13 Enemies are rushing to death like strong oxen and bulls.
14-15 Pain and disease brought all his spirit and body to the brink of death.
16-17 My enemies have pierced my limbs, and my bones cannot be counted.
③ Asking the Lord for help during hardships (19-21)
O LORD my strength, save my soul. rescue me.
3. Praise for prayer answers (22-31)
① Praise to the Lord after being saved (22-24)
Praise the Lord in the congregation (22)
Fear God (23)
The One Who Answers Prayer (24)
② When suffering, offer thanksgiving as promised (25-26)
David didn't forget his vows
③ Praise for the expansion and eternity of the kingdom of God (27-31)
All the ends of the earth return to Jehovah, and God is Lord of all.
It will be said that God has accomplished all the work of salvation.
