Rejoice, be glad (Joel 2:21-29)
Dear saints! All of our people are going through gloomy days these days. International oil prices are hitting all-time highs every day. But the politicians are out of their minds. There is no promise as to when the candles in front of City Hall will go out. All of this makes us anxious and depressed today. In the text, the prophet Joel tells us to rejoice and rejoice. The days of the prophet Joel were also difficult. King Josiah enters the country at the young age of seven. The kingship has not been established. There is no way the government can do it right. Enemies around you have taken advantage of this time to threaten bonds. So, the prophet Joel prophesies a terrible calamity. (Joel 1:4,12) However, the prophet Joel tells us to rejoice and rejoice. Verse 23, “Children of Zion, rejoice and be glad in the LORD your God.” This morning, we would like to share our grace with the title of the text, “Rejoice and be glad.”
I. sending christ
II. pouring out the Holy Spirit
Dear all! Thanksgiving is a special time to rejoice, rejoice, and give thanks. First of all, we should rejoice, rejoice, and give thanks that Jesus Christ was sent as a teacher of righteousness to receive forgiveness of sins, justification, and becoming a child of God through the atonement grace of Jesus Christ. And again, we should rejoice, rejoice, and give thanks for helping us in our weakness by pouring out the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, so that we can live a victorious life and a glorious Christian life. Today, on this Thanksgiving Day, I pray that spiritual joy, spiritual joy, and spiritual thanksgiving will overflow to all of you.
